The drive had taken longer than scheduled due to some heavy traffic when they arrived in Los Angeles but he could care less. He had enjoyed every minute of it. They had arrived to the motel around 6:00 and parked in the spot next to Javier’s car. Lindsey got out and stretched, thankful that the drive was over, but disappointed that he would have to share his time with Stevie with the other band members for the next few hours.
“I’m going to go get checked in.”
Her voice had pulled him back from his thoughts. “Sounds good. I’ll get our bags and wait for you here.”
He watched her walk toward the lobby, his hand nervously running through his long curls as she disappeared through the front door. He had never spent the night with a girl before, and although they would be in separate beds he was terrified of taking this step with Stevie. What if he snored, or worse, talked in his sleep? What was to stop him from subconsciously spilling all of his feelings to her in his sleep?
“Hey Buckingham! It’s about time you guys got here! You hungry?” Javier’s voice broke his thoughts and he turned around just in time to catch the football that was thrown down at him from the balcony. He threw the ball back up to Javier.
“Yeah, what are you thinking for dinner?”
“Brian says he knows a good Mexican place, that okay?”
“Sounds good to me.” He turned around to grab the bags from the back of the car, running into Stevie who had snuck up behind him with the keys to the room.
“Mexican for dinner, huh?” She asked, a grin spreading across her face.
“Is that okay with you?” He knew fully well it was her favorite.
“Sounds absolutely perfect.”
