It's been a few weeks now and everyone has finally gotten into routine. I have met some pretty interesting people, and I'm not gonna lie, but I'm loving high school right now. I love the fresh people, the teachers, it's all so chill. But I do know some drama will kick off at any moment. One thing I do find interesting though is that we have to sit in seating assignments, and in every class, I sit next to the same guy. Kaeden Jansekovic. Don't get me wrong, he's a cool guy. He's actually really funny, one of my closer friends now. I learnt that he went to Kingsley Elementary and his parents are immigrants from the Netherlands. We kind of have a lot in common where we are both the quiet athlete types with blunt personalities. We're both exceptionally good at math and both like the show "Survivor".
"Did you watch last night's episode?" he asked.
"Yeah, where Malcolm went home."
"I know! I'm so mad, he was my favourite player! Also, what was the answer to number 3?"
"Same, and 27, what did you get?"
"Not 27."
We continued to do math and talk about Survivor for the rest of the class and continued our conversation into the rest of the day. When I got home, my mom had just finished making turnovers, and you already know that I grabbed a few. I grabbed my snacks and water and went upstairs to my room. Just then, Monica FaceTimed me.
"Hey girl!" Monica shouted through the phone, nearly making me deaf.
"Hey, what's up?"
"Oh nothing, just talking to Bradley."
"Oh really? How exciting."
"You already know. I think we're gonna hangout this weekend. You should come and we can invite Kaeden."
"Kaeden? Why him?"
"Because he likes you...duh"
"He does not!"
"Oh, he does."
"Highly doubt it."
We continued on for the rest of the night arguing about another boy's feelings, who definitely does not feel for me. I ended up texting him about it and he laughed it off. It's good to know we're on the same page.
