So this is where all those samples that get collected from Earth wind up... Carson thought to himself.

"Did that really just happen? Why didn't I feel anything? Do you have to be touching someone or something to do it?" Tucker exclaimed in awe.

Maia's light glowed patiently in silence.

"Focus Tucker." Cornelius said with his rifle raised in alert.

They were inside of a giant Geodesic dome, hundreds of feet high, thousands of feet wide, lit with high powered lights in the ceiling, filled with flat gardens of short trimmed grass, inches high, and flowing water sculptures. It looked like the Victorian garden of some rich, noble Old Worlder from a holofilm. There was even a row of Rosebushes circling the ornate fountain.

Everything seemed to glow a soft maroon... Carson looked up and saw the red Giant, Jupiter filling up half the sky and reflecting it's bloody light through the polyhedral windows of the  Dome.

"Are you still taking video and Audio, and broadcasting them to Mars and Titan?

"Of course."

"Good."

Carson imagined the righteous fury the citizens would feel when they saw this. These bastards had literal water fountains in their front yard... It was such a gross misappropriation of resources... Would they riot and bring the whole world caving in on themselves as a result? Did it matter?

It was their choice, what to do with the knowledge, Carson thought. It was his job as their representative to simply bring it to the table

The Giant Canine took a step and sniffed the air, realizing it was somewhere else now.

"Where are the kids?" Brianna asked.

Maia's light blinked, and the Canis cocked his head at her, then looked up in the air, sniffing it. After a second the beast sprinted off across the grass field, tearing out giant clumps of dirt and sediment behind him.

"Where's he going?" Carson asked.

"To find... kids... I believe... I'm sorry... I was able to locate the camera footage... but not the location..."

"You're speaking with the Wolf?" Abel asked.

"Yes.... in a way..."

They all sprinted off in hot pursuit, Tuck and Corn brought up the rear with their white haired hostage.

The Canine cleared the Garden and ran to the buildings coating the edges of the Dome.

"Where is everybody?" Cornelius asked nervously.

"It appears the structures go deep into the ground. There appear to be a number of facilities underground." Maia said.

"So have a front lawn that looks like this, and they don't even use it?!" Tucker was indignant, to say the least.

They caught up to the bulky Canis finally. They found him whining and pawing at a door. The access lock glowed red.

"Does anyone have any extra frags? Or EMP's? Why don't we carry more EMP's?"

"I've still got a stunner," Abel said helpfully.

"Yeah well next time grab two." Carson exclaimed.

"I did! I grabbed like 4! I had to--"

Suddenly the door slid open and a man in a light orange bathrobe stood in the doorway.

"What the--"
