Strange music playing

Air filled with laughters, popping sound of party poppers, a birthday cake, a boy lying on a bed while listening to music with earphones on, eyes closed. A man gasping for air while head's getting heavy, Someone's looking for something but couldn't find it. A strange sound. A dimming eyesight. Someone's asking for help. And the sound of something that fell on the ground.

*Champ Woke Up*

"A dream? As usual, you must be wondering how can a ghost dream? I have only realized it after I died. Actually, I have been dreaming like that for 2 years now. Ever since that day, the day I celebrated my 16th birthday which is also the day of my death, dreams kept flashing like some pieces of memories. If you think it's cool, it isn't. Actually, it's freaking sad and frustrating. By the way, I am Champ, that's all I can really remember. Needless to say, I am a spirit. A spirit who can't even remember how he got a cassette tape with headphones. Unfortunate as it might seem to die at a young age, it's even unluckier to have known that I am no different from any other ghost without relatives. A couple of years have passed but I couldn't remember any person to have ever visited my grave. I think that is the reason why I have not been able to reincarnate yet. A spirit cannot reincarnate for three reasons. First, my life expectancy is not over yet. Second, no one came to give offering to my spirit. Lastly, I don't know the real cause of my death. Forget the third one, because as you can see, I have a brain tumor since I was a child. As for the first one, if I died due to sickness, my life expectancy has probably ended that day. The only thing that I am lacking is, people to visit my grave or do rituals and prayers for me. My life is that simple. My heart stopped and died.

*November 1*

"Dad, why is this grave messy?" The kid asked.

"The reason maybe is no one ever payed a visit to clean it up. " father replied.

"Can I just light candles and put some chocolates on the grave, Dad?" The kid asked.

"Why not?"  father replied.

The kid started to light candles and offer chocolates on the grave without him knowing that it's owner was looking at him. It was Champ's grave.

"I think it's now presentable. I hope the soul of the grave's owner would love it." The kid uttered.

Dad smiled and grabbed the kid's hands. "Okay, shall we go?"

"Sure, Dad."  kid replied.

While they were walking after paying a visit, Champ was shocked because he noticed that the kid looked directly at his eyes.

"Hey, hey! Can you see me?" Champ yelled with amazement.

With what happened, Champ hurried to go to his spirit friends and told them that a kid's eyes and his eyes met.

"Nong, Jane!" Champ yelled.

"What happened? Why are you in such a hurry?" Nong and Jane replied.

"There." Champ pointed somewhere because he lost for words for what he is about to say.

Nong and Jane looked at the direction.
"Where?!" Both asked.

"Just spill it out." Jane said with a little irritation.

"Wewewewait. I can't get ahold of my thoughts. There. I saw a kid there. On my tomb. He looked directly in my eyes. Our eyes met." Champ said.

"Err! Don't crack jokes around. It isn't funny. You're just hallucinating. Stop daydreaming lonely ghost. It's impossible." Nong replied.

"That's right. Maybe you are just saddened because no one is visiting you and thought that that kid saw you." Jane replied.

"Well, I guess so." Champ replied then turned around and just listened to his cassette tape.

*After 1 year*

*November 1*

Champ sat on his grave and waited for the kid to come again.

"Dad, it's the grave that I lighted candles on and offered chocolates with last year. Shall I do it again?"

"Sure, go ahead." father said.

"There you go. What else do you like?" The kid whispered on Champ's grave.

"Hey kid! You can see me, right?" Champ asked the kid.

The kid did not reply and went back to his father.

"Hey! I also want grilled pork and meatballs but I do really love chocolates." Champ replied while looking at them.

Champs went back to his friends and suddenly sat on a chair on a bad mood while playing with the birds.

"Why are you in such mood, Champ?" Jane asked Champ.

"Sure enough, he realized that the kid can't see him. He barely hears him, I guess." Nong replied while laughing.

"He..hey! Thats enough, Nong! You're just making the mood worse." Jane replied to Nong.

"It's fine. The both of you are correct. I think it was just an illusion that our eyes met. Maybe because I long for a visitor." Champ replied with teary eyes.

"Hey, Champ! Why the gloomy atmosphere? Don't cry. We don't know one day, someone might pay you a visit or you might suddenly reincarnate. You just wait. I don't know how long would that waiting take you but the waiting will be worthwhile. " Jane replied.

"That's right! Remember these, Champ. Spirits are different from the living. Our world is different from them. They cant neither see us nor talk to us." Nong replied

"Fine, fine, I will forget about that now." Champ replied.

*After 1 Week*

While Champ was siting on his grave, he suddenly saw the kid approaching his direction with some food and candles on his hands.

Champ was shocked when he saw what the kid brought for him: grilled pork, meatballs and chocolates.

"Ghost! ghost! Where are you?" The kid yelled.

Champ did not answer and just observed the kid for what he will do next.

The kid saddened for not getting an answer back. "Why is he not answering? Is he gone? Did he already reincarnated? " Kid whispered.

"Boo! I'm here! I knew it! I knew it! I knew you can see me." Champ yelled to kid while smiling.

He knew that the kid was shocked but why did he pretend? Or Was he just pretending? But I saw his color went out.

"He...hey! Are you pretending that you are not shocked? Don't you want to talk to me?" Champ asked.

"Hey, Let's go!" Kids Dad yelled.

After what happened, he headed hurriedly to his spirit friends to spill the news.

"Nong! Jane! I knew it! The kid can really see and hear me."

"Err! That again? I thought we're done with it?" Nong replied.

"The kid brought me meatballs, grilled porks and chocolates from which I said to him last week that I would love him to bring them for me. And he really brought it." Champ cheerfully replied.

"Errrr! Believe what you wanted to but don't cry to us for that same reason afain. Okay?" Nong replied.

Champ did not answer them. He just smiled widely on the thought of the kid who can see him...
