Let them say

They say I'm nothing
They say I'm useless
They say I don't deserve hapiness
They say they can understand me
They can't
They say they know me
They don't
They can't see my real self
They see what I let them see

They say they know me better than I do
To be honest, sometimes I can't see my real self
Can they possibly be right?
I'm not the person I used to be, they said
I've changed, they clamed
I don't know if that's good or bad
Maybe it's both
Or maybe it's none of that
It doesn't matter
Deep inside me I remain the same
I'm sure they are wrong
Let them say whatever they want!
