It was after at the end of the week where she realised she had no school classes with him, and only really saw him during training. It had been a while since they had last talked.
He must have noticed too, as he approached her after training with a skateboard in one hand, and a scrunched up ball of paper in the other - his bag slung over his shoulder and his face funny looking as he wore what appeared to be a large kids helmet. She smiled as he came;
He noticed she knew he was there, and set forth.
" Hey Turbo, hit the woah."
Throwing the paper ball up high into the air, she caught it expertly, very proficient in doing the woah afterwards ;)
He briefly smiled as he watched her open up the scrunched ball, before turning around to leave, having to go early.The piece of paper, or rather a magazine cutout of a lion appeared mostly flat on her hands. She grasps at the words, as her eyes twinkle with excitement as it's a letter thrown to her.
\\the letter//
Dear Turbo,
I've wanted to get to know you since you wore that shirt that says; "I'm a B-ball player, Grrrrr." Grr like a lion indeed.Fortunately as you know, coach has cancelled training tomorrow; so wanna play a proper game of basketball then? I'm writing this arriving early before training starts and I know I'm bound to write too much, but you're really easy to talk to, honestly. So I'll tell you a bit about myself. You remind me of a lion, especially like the lion with glasses at the back of this magazine cutout. [sigh] my cousin Margo keeps putting photos from magazines in my bag because she thinks I need inspiration. So all the paper cutouts I receive, I doodle on, which Margo adores, me being a doodler - She also says that about my writing too, so that's why I decided to write to you when seeing this photo this morning. Another thing about lions; I have a little sister that's going through a Disney phase. It's been the Lion King for weeks now and recently it was her birthday, so Margo decided to paint a lion king themed bicycle helmet for my sister as she's also at that age where you learn how to ride a bike. But Margo, of course got a large sized helmet - for a seven year old...(dumbo) So I told my sister I'd protect and keep the helmet until she's older..In her case, unfortunately I recently got a skateboard and thought to use the helmet now, rather than later ;)
- My sister's favourite character is Simba, her most favourite so that she wants to be him. Perhaps you can see the almighty Lion, grrr, at the back of my helmet.
- As I learnt your name I couldn't help but think of King Simba, also my favourite character, yet again.Hope you say yes to the Bball game,
From Slowpoke\\fin//
She immediately looks up, avid to catch the distant figure struggling to move in a straight line on wheels as he seems to not have gotten very far so that she can still see him. She's even close enough to catch the neon green letters at the back of his helmet - there being written "King Simba's"
She laughs and doesn't know what's more funny; him wearing a kids helmet or that he's such a beginner at skateboarding.
But she found it cute how Simba was his favourite character.
So in other thought;
—Placed upon HIS head, she thought how the B could easily be misunderstood for an R....
