that's all minho could feel.

endless pain.

his glossed up eyes could barely make out the razor he was holding.

i did it again ..

he promised his dead best friend he would never attempt self harm ever again.

"minho! let's go to the-"

minho winced in pain as hyunjin gently tugged at his wrist, pulling him along.

"i'm so sorry minho! but i didn't pull you that hard .. did i?"

"doesn't matter, just-just don't touch there ever again, alright?" minho wouldn't meet hyunjin's eyes as he pulled the sleeves of his hoodie even further down.

"minho, look at me. are you alright? you're not .. self harming are you..?" hyunjin gently cupped minho's soft cheeks, forcing the older to look into his soft brown eyes.

"i-i-" minho did not manage to finish his sentence before tears started making their way down his face.

"i'm sorry!" and with that, minho burst into tears, earning themselves stares from everyone else at the playground. but hyunjin did what the older loved most about him. hyunjin did not hesitate to engulf him into a tight hug. hyunjin did not leave him, yet.

"promise me you won't do this again, alright?" minho nodded. he knew he could get over anything, as long as his best friend was here with him.

what he did not know was that happiness never lasts.

minho made another cut as he thought of his long lost best friend. bright red blood oozed out of the cut he made and it joined the many other cuts he had on his arms. some had fresh blood while some were recovering.

"minho no!"

hyunjin hauled the boy away from the edge.

one step.

two step.

hyunjin was gone, leaving behind a sobbing minho.

hyunjin had fallen off the edge and into the deep waters below them, where minho would have been if it was not for the boy.

"i-i'm sorry hyunjin.."

another cut.

"it's all my fault you're gone.."

another cut.

"you didn't deserve that.."

another cut.

"you were the-the best.."

another cut.

minho felt tears burst forth like water from a dam, damping his already wet face even further. minho looked up at his own reflection in the mirror, "i miss you hyunjin.."

all minho had left, was a broken soul.
