"What are you two cackling about?" Kim Namjoon raised a questioning brow at his two friends who seems to have a world of themselves as they lounged on the gigantic comfy couch in the middle of the room.

"Haven't you heard about it?" Jimin raised a brow of his in return.

"He wouldn't be asking if he knew, dumbass." Jennie lazily rolled her eyes as she kept scrolling down her Instagram feed with having nothing to do.

The famous clique was killing their time inside their own private room especially built for them on the south side of the campus as it was already the start of the weekends and they had nothing to do at home. Having heavily influential parents does have its perks at times.

"It concerns your ex, Jen." Jisoo informed after her laughter subsided.

Jennie only scoffed, "What about him? A new girl?"

"There is a girl involved, my dear sister," Jin interrupted from the side, joining the conversation as well because the gossip already reached his ears. "But not in the way you think."

"In what way do you mean then?" Hoseok asked, now there were already six out of eight of them who were clearly invested in the talk, excluding Yoongi who was dozing off and their cold-hearted maknae who didn't even bat an eyelash at them with the lack of interest.

"The girl beat Jongin up, believe it or not." Jimin continued to laugh in amusement, he really wished he was there to witness the commotion that only happened yesterday in order to see Jongin's fuming expression due to a mere girl, but he guessed he wasn't that lucky that day.

"Pft, that asshole deserves it." Yoongi snorted, still with his eyes closed. Now it was seven out of eight.

"This only happened yesterday? Gossips really do travel fast here huh." Namjoon shook his head.

"I would pay a high price to see that again," Jennie was now grinning. "Who was that girl, I'd like to personally thank her. . .or on the contrary never mind, I never thank people." She shrugged.

"Apparently she's a newbie, which makes it more interesting." Jimin stated and this piqued the group's interest even more. "Some of her classmates who were there said her name was, if I'm correct, what was that again. . . Aha! It was Lalisa Manoban."

"What did you say?"

The temperature visibly dropped as they all turned their heads towards Jungkook who now has his full undivided attention on the topic as well from the mere mention of that awfully familiar name.

"I was shocked when I first heard it too," Jimin admitted. "But we can never be sure, and I mean it's impossible, we all know she's. . ."

"Dead," Jungkook finished with gritted teeth. "She's supposed to be."

"Chill down, kook." Namjoon looked at the younger male seriously. "You are not going to meddle into the innocent transferee's life just because their last names are the same."
