"Lali? Where are we taking Taehyung?" Chaeyoung asked as they both carried Taehyung's weight which seemed to grow heavier and heavier by the second as he's slowly losing his consciousness.

"We're taking him to my house instead." Lalisa replied, she then wiped the beads of sweat forming on her forehead with her free hand. She doesn't know what to expect really, would they be mad? Shocked? Confused?

"But how do we take him there fast? Is your house nearby?" Chaeyoung inquired.

"I have a car, you'll see."

She just decided to go with the flow, after all she was doing this for her friend Taehyung, who defended Chaeyoung and her, a girl he just met and barely knows. Lalisa took one deep breath because there's really no turning back now as she can already see Bambam's Mercedes-Benz C-Class nearby the gate. It was a good thing that most of the students were already home.

"That's our ride, come on." Lalisa pointed at her cousin's vehicle. She only took notice of Chaeyoung's bewildered expression when she opened the door. "This is our ride?"

Chaeyoung was confused because she remembered Lalisa saying she was from an okay family, to exactly quote her words, but she wasn't a stranger to luxury cars.

"Yes, Chaeng." Lalisa looked at Chaeyoung seriously. "I'll enlighten you later, what's important is we get Taehyung to safety."

"Okay."

Lalisa opened the door and assisted Chaeyoung and a barely conscious Taehyung in entering the backseat before going to the other side of the car and sitting in the front seat.

"What happened, L?"

Chaeyoung froze, she slowly diverted her gaze towards the owner of the deep voice that spoke to her friend.

When Chaeyoung got a good look at the man, her eyes widened as she pointed her index finger at their familiar driver. "Y-You're," She then transferred her eyes on her friend. "H-He's-"

Judging from Chaeyoung's flabbergasted expression, Lalisa can tell that she has a lot of questions running through her head, she can only imagine Taehyung mirroring her expression if he was conscious.

"Like I said, Chaeng, I'll explain everything later." Lalisa looked at her through the rearview mirror.

Chaeyoung inhaled a deep breath and Lalisa took it as an unspoken okay from her friend. The confused girl checked Taehyung once more before diverting her attention on the vague lights on the car's window, a plethora of thoughts running through her head.

Ten minutes felt like an hour for Lalisa, considering the tension hanging in the air inside the car, so when she saw their village's entrance she sighed in relief. They were entering the gate when she swore she heard her best friend gasp.

Lalisa's words rung in Chaeyoung's head.

We're taking him to my house instead.
