Mikael had been sleeping over for the past three nights, and Taz was happy to see that Mikael was looking a lot better. Taz was slowly starting to regain some of the weight that he'd lost during the time of his coma, and he could walk down the hall and back by himself without support. Since it was the Christmas break, Taz's friends came to visit, all spread out in the past three days.

Nanook loved to come visit Taz, and she would push Taz around on a wheelchair with Mikael. The wheelchair had been necessary if Taz wanted to go outside, just in case. Nanook was cheerful as always, and rambled on about all the different things that they could do once Taz felt better. It was refreshing, and Taz looked forward to the times that Nanook visited.

Arielle and Estra's visit wasn't as long as they'd hoped it was, as they had to catch a flight later on in the day. Taz was just happy to see them again. Even the members of the River Bane Pack came to visit, or the ones that Taz remembered: Raven, Xena, Kiba, Koda, Shiro, and of course, Pyro.

Everyone had their stories to tell, and Taz was relieved that he didn't have to answer, are you okay? questions anymore. Raven and Xena had some amusing stories to tell, after Mikael had been more scarce to find, the twins had turned their make-up testing to Kiba, who detested it. Taz enjoyed listening to everyone.

Taz slept a lot, and it was strange how exhausted he was after having woken up from a four week period of sleep. He was slowly returning to eating more solid and filling foods, and he could comfortably eat some of the curry rice that Juno had brought over.

The gift baskets had been full of little things that Taz could fiddle with when bed ridden, including Rubix Cubes, and other puzzles. There were sketching pencils, sketchbooks and notebooks, and Taz had felt so warm and fuzzy when he tried everything out.

When Shiro and her siblings came to visit, they brought a small carton of bright red strawberries, apparently grown in their greenhouse. Taz had practically inhaled three at once, and was about to eat more until Mikael plucked the carton from his hands, chastising him. Taz had given Mikael the puppy dog eyes, and Shiro and her siblings laughed at how quickly Mikael caved.

"You're in so deep." Shiro chuckled, and had Mikael scowled, swatting at her half-heartedly. Taz threw his arms around Mikael's waist dramatically, smacking a kiss to Mikael's shoulder, causing the wolf shifter to blush. "I'll leave you two to be." She winked, and dragged her brothers out of the room.

"Taz," Taz glanced up as Mikael spoke, his cheeks dusting pink. "I... have a question." Taz nodded, and rested his chin on Mikael's shoulder. "We've been... 'together' for a little while now, right?"

Yes. Taz signed. Why?

"I'm just afraid that what I feel for you is too strong for what you're comfortable with right now." Mikael seemed to be hesitant to continue. Taz frowned, brows furrowed. He reached out and stroked Mikael's forehead, pressing a gentle kiss to it.

"I really want to take the next step with you and become mates, but I know that you're still recovering, and this probably isn't the right time to talk about this. Oh God, I'm such a selfish idiot." Mikael groaned, burying his face in his hands, before grumbling so low that Taz could barely hear. "I'm thinking with the wrong head." Taz blinked, not quite understanding what he meant, but shrugged it off.
