The Dance of Life

Little do we understand life

Is a dance.

We see the demons and angels waring

Might be so, but in a glance.

It's not about one side reigning

Not about the fight with yourself.

Life never called for a fight

It's our need to prove to ourselves.

Chasing a utopian hope,

Competing for halos and wings

Oblivious to the dance in the battle,

Naive, i would say, to aim for a solo win.

It's a dance, love

So follow the rhythm.

They are hand in hand

Don't try to separate them.

They belong together

And so they fight

There is no battle to win

No war to prove their might.

Admire them together if you can.

You cannot chain one down to set the other free.

For the only angels I've known

Are those whose demons I am yet to see.
