Catalaya's POV

I shot up in a bright room.

Everything was white. The blankets, the walls, the chairs the blinds, the curtains and even the gown covering my body.

Was I in Heaven?

I felt my body, but I felt real.

I saw my mom before she saw me.

I let out a deep breath of relief.

I was still alive.

My mother looked up as she heard my sigh and tears quickly fell down her face.

"HONEY!" She yelled before gripping me in a hug.

I went to hug her back and I noticed the cast on my wrist.

"It wasn't a dream?"

She pulled away as I investigated my wrist.

"No, mija. It wasn't a dream." She brushed my hair out of my face.

My father came running in with Diego, Toni and Rico behind him.

All four looking incredibly relieved.

"Uh, how long was I out?" I asked.

"3 days. We were starting to worry that the lack of oxygen fucked up your brain." Rico said.

"ENRIQUE AMIAS SANTOS!" My mother scolded him.

"Sorry ma." He looked down at his feet.

My throat was a bit sore as I grabbed the water from the side table and started drinking.

The doctor walked in with a friendly smile.

"Glad to see you're okay Catalaya."

She checked my vitals and smiled before leaving the room.

"What happened?" I asked.

Diego cleared his throat.

"How about we let you take some medicine, get cleaned up and change and we will talk in the dining room. Leticia was cooking breakfast."

"Why is Leticia cooking in our kitchen? We should be making her food."

I ripped off the blanket about to kick my feet over.

"We're not at home Catalaya." Rico said.

"Not home?"

My father sighed.

"You're at the Don's house. They have the built-in hospital wing and some how are house was contaminated.

We have to check security to see how those men got in. So, for now we're staying here."

I nodded.

"Do I have clothes here?" I asked.

"We set your stuff up in the guest room."

I nodded standing up out of bed. My legs were a bit wobbly and Diego helped me. We left the hospital area and up the stairs.

"This room is yours."

I nodded and entered the room. My bags were lying on the bed as I went into the bathroom.

I started the water and got in.

I washed up the best I could with my one hand wrapped in a plastic bag making sure it didn't get wet.

I jumped out the shower and wrapped myself in the towel.
