Brielle Cavanaugh's POV

"Brielle! For the love of god Brielle WAKE UP!"

"Mmm…leave me alone." I mumbled, nestling deeper into the mattress and pulling my pillow over my head.

After a few moments of silence I sighed in content, assuming that the person had left. Suddenly my blanket was yanked off my body and I squeaked as the cold air pricked my skin.

"Charlotte!" I squealed, launching myself forward so I was sitting upright.

"We're supposed to meet Avalon and Scarlett at The Brew in five minutes!" Charlotte said, picking up the pillow I had thrown across the room and squatting me with it.

"But I'm tired." I sighed dramatically and flopped back down on the bed.

"Does I look like I care?" Charlotte asked, giving me her best poker face.

"Damn girl." I grumbled. "And they say you're the empathetic one."

"People change." Charlotte replied, grabbing my arm and attempting to drag me from my bed.

"How did you even get in here? My parents aren't letting me have visitors." I asked, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

"They weren't here, and I know where you keep the spare key so I let myself in." Charlotte informed, finally giving up on the tedious task of making me leave the room, and collapsing on the chair in the corner of my room.

"That's not creepy at all." I replied sarcastically, earning a glare from Charlotte. "Maybe you're A." I joked darkly.

"Would you just hurry up and get changed." Charlotte said, ignoring my remark. "We have a lot to talk about."

(Line Break)

Around fifteen minutes later Charlotte and I walked into The Brew. As soon as we entered I started to look around for Avalon and Scarlett.

"Charlotte! Brielle! Over here!" Avalon yelled, from the back corner of the café. She started waving her arms around widely narrowly missing Scarlett's head.

Charlotte and I walked over to the table and sat down. Scarlett was hiding behind a menu trying to avoid the glares of the other coffee drinkers whose attention had been drawn to this table by Avalon's screeches.

"We already ordered for you." Scarlett said, smiling weakly.

"Are you alright?" Charlotte asked concerned.

"I'm fine." Scarlett shot back, plastering on a fake smile.

After a few moments of silence Avalon turned to me. "Why did you get arrested?" She asked abruptly.

"Seriously?" Scarlett and Charlotte groaned. "That was not a part of the plan."

"I never said I'd follow the plan." Avalon reminded, leaning back onto her seat.

"Is this an intervention?" I asked suspiciously.

"Of course not." Scarlett reassured. "We just wanted to hear the story from you."

"I didn't do anything wrong." I said, clenching my fists. "I was set up. Made to look guilty."

My three best friends stared at me with wide eyes. I sighed and started to explain everything to them starting from getting arrested and finishing at the fight with my parents. However, I did leave out the parts with Ryder in them, I didn't think it was necessary to bring that up yet.

"Wow." Avalon said, after I had finished explaining everything.

"Tell me about it." I grumbled, taking a long sip of my coffee which had been brought to the table halfway through the discussion.
