Chapter 15: Funeral

Two weeks later
Today was the day of Rufus's Funeral,over 100 people had cake and I was shocked that Rufus knew so many people. "Are you ready?" Edmund asked walking into my room,we were having the funeral in the back of my house,it was more convenient. "Ready as I'll ever be.."

"Today we are here to remember my brother Rufus." I began,I looked around and saw so many people crying,I had no idea how many people my brother impacted.. "He was a good man,When we grew up he would always be overwhelmed it was wired for a child to be like that,but he was overwhelmed because he raised me. My parents weren't there too often so he was my dad,and our other brother Eric was my mom.."
*laughter*
"Rufus taught me so many live lessons like to not eat mud pie and to be thankful for everyone if your life,Rufus was a kind man who yes and some problems with him he just wanted to keep the people he loved saved,he never wanted to hurt anyone and he wouldn't want us to be crying over him,he would want us to be thankful for the life he had,this is a celebration of his life,not something to be sad about,Rufus understood that he had some problems and tried to get help but I guess he knew that he couldn't be fixed..." I started to cry,I couldn't help myself,Edmund stepped up
"I knew Rufus for a short time but for the time I knew him he was a big goofball who tired to make the best out of everything,yeah we got into some fights but he would try his best to not hit me which would be funny,he was sweet and told me that he actually liked me,To Rufus."
"To Rufus." A bunch of people said,a little after we let people say there goodbye to Rufus we had a closed casket I think it would be a little more depressing if it was open casket.

The funeral lasted about 2 hours,I was so tired but I think my mission was complete I think I was able to tell Rufus's story some people actually asked me later what was Rufus like as a kid and well I told them,I then talked to Rufus girlfriend
"Sooo,your my older brothers girlfriend"
"Yeah,did he ever talk about me?"
"Nope"
I mean I was going to be honest
"o-oh.."
"Sorry if that sounded rude,but all I knew that he would smile at his lock screen"
"Really?"
Her face had a light blush to it
"Yeah,he sometimes wouldn't get off his phone for hours"
Her face got more red
"Ah,I see"
She laughed a little
"Well,How did you know my brother?"
"We met at a coffee shop,I was working there and he asked for my number then we started talking and I found myself falling in love with him,I told him and I guess he liked me back,we have only been dating for 6 months.."

"6 MONTHS?! That's a long time!"
A chuckled and so did the girl
"Well,i'll see you around!"
"O-Ok!"
I walked around to find Edmund,who seemed to be swarmed around girls- I hate having a hot boyfriend

I walked up behind up and tapped him he turned around and right before he could speak some girl said "I was talking to him! Back of the line you rat!" I was mad at her and so was Edmund "Excuse me?" Edmund said turning around to the girl "I-I mean look at her!" She giggled "That's my girlfriend. Don't talk bad about her or else." The girl got all stutterie and walked away as I started to laugh "I love you Edmund." "And I love you y/n"
