"are my eyes deceiving me?"
"shut the fuck up."
"have the greek gods bestowed a perfect opportunity to embarrass bakugou?"
"i said shut the fuck up!" he threw a packet of seeds over the fence which you easily dodged.
"whew, you're kinda explosive for a boy who likes tulips." you leaned on the fence and spoke with a smirk hanging on your lips.
"..." he didn't even try to reply, too focused on digging into the soil.
"so what you planting?" you tilted your head in questions.
"... sunflowers." he mumbled.
"ooh! they're my favourite. i planted a bunch over there." you pointed to the corner of your garden, where a patch of sunflowers were dancing whimsically.
he paused his actions and his eyes followed the direction you pointed at, somewhat surprised but predictable. you always had sunflower petals in your hair. he grunted, saying nothing, before going back to his gardening process.
you let out an 'ah', as you clicked your tongue in understanding. he wanted to be left alone.
a silence lingered in the air between you, only being broken every few moments by singing birds and the sound of the spade being dug into the soil.
you clicked your tongue,
"so you come here often?" you asked over the fence.
"this is my fucking backyard, (l/n)." he stared you down, exasperated at your shenanigans.
