As she lunges at me I can only think of one thing, how could this happen? I've been with her every day for the last six years and I've never seen her act like a shapeshifter. Shapeshifters take on the image of their prey to lure others into their trap. I dodge her first attack. She's fast, very fast. I have to keep moving otherwise she will be able to grab me and kill me.
I counter her next attack with a roundhouse kick to her head. The force knocked her off her feet and threw her into the wall.
"Oh, you think your so strong don't you?" She laughs maniacally, "well how about you dodge this you maggot!" She tears a piece of cement from the ground and throws it at me. It hits me square in the chest. With blood streaming down my nose and ending up in pools at my feet, I get up. I lunge at her and she dodged my attack easily. she counters me with a solid punch to my temple.
With my head throbbing and my nose bleeding it's hard to concentrate. It's hard to stay awake, but I have to. I have to survive. The others need me!
I jump up from the ground and I grab her neck. I throw her across the room and grab a random pipe, I then throw the pipe at her and impale her. She's gasping for air.
"Please..." she gasps, "don't kill me... if you do you'll never find aria." She starts to cough up blood. I take the pipe out and put it through her chest.
"Where is she!" I scream. She laughs, blood pouring out of her mouth.
"You'll never see her again maggot!" She spits in my face and keeps laughing. "You see, I ate her, you know what her last words were as I was gobbling up the last bit of her flesh."
"What" I ask.
"She said to tell you that she loves you, I thought it was so sweet I ripped her face off and ate it!" She laughs even more, getting more riled every second that passes by.I take the pipe out of her chest, and I put it through her skull,
"Shut up you bastard!" I scream as she slowly dies. I get up and walk out of the room. My head is spinning and I can't focus. My mind is going a million miles an hour and I still can't think a single thought. Six years... six years we had been together, braving it out in this cruel world. She can't have died by that thing. I don't believe it, I will never believe it!
"I will avenge you Aria!" I cry out into the darkness.A cold hand touches my shoulder, I grab the hand and go to kill the thing that touched me but I'm knocked out cold. A deep soothing voice says,
"It's time to come home Sirisha."
