Joebridge Family
***

"Well, I'm Elizabeth but you can call me Eliza." She smiled. Her attire wasn't like a regular woman of today's attire. Eliza was dressed in the victorian fashion of a woman from the eighteen hundreds. Her tummy was tucked in tight, her bright hair pulled back into a neat, tight, knit. She honestly looked like a Gibson girl. Her makeup was light but noticeable.

Ar'mon peeked down to see that her dress was so elongated that it obscured her feet. "So uh, why you wearing that?" Ar'mon questioned with much jumble in his voice. Zuri elbowed her older brother. He was always asking the rudest questions. She didn't understand why he couldn't be more like Shiloh. Secluded and reserved.

"It's quite alright. I like dressing like this. It's comfortable to me." Eliza shrugged. "Why are you dressed like that?" Eliza mocked with a small smile.

Ar'mon lifted his perfectly arched eyebrow in response to her question. "Hm, doesn't feel good does it big bro?" Zuri teased. She only earned a smack from his moistened lips as all four of them heard small commotion coming from the house.

All four looked from each other, to the house. The children's mother and father were both smiling from ear to ear while talking Eliza. "What they so happy for?" Ar'mon frowned. He tucked his arms against his chest.

"They've bought the house." Eliza answered with a smile.

"How you do know?" Ar'mon remarked cutting his eyes at her. He didn't believe a word that fell from that woman's lips. Here they were forced to possibly move away from all their friends, such as, girlfriends and boyfriends. Mostly Zuri with the best friends and her boyfriend.

"I can feel it." She said without another word. She closed her eyes tilting her head upward at the lucent, blue sky. The clouds tardily moved across the sky as if they were in military duty to save their world.

"Y'all come here! We have to tell y'all something!" Their mother Chandice yelled waving them over. Their dad mocking their mother. They hated it when he did that.

The children walked over as the grass hollered underneath their feet as they walked across the yard. All three of them wore the same exact expression on their faces. Scowling with their bottom lips poked out.

"Hi guys, so guess what?" Chandice said with her hands clasped together excitedly. She reverted her eyes to her husband then back at her children.

"What?" They said in unison.

"We're buying the house." She gleamed. Grabbing Paul's hand he smiled at how excited his wife us.

"Why that's excellent." Eliza said from behind the children. The strange woman had made no movement behind them to signal at all that she was following them.

"And, you are?" Chandice asked. With a slight head nod.

"I'm Elizabeth. But you can call me Eliza." She nodded.

Chandice broke from her husband's hold to shake Eliza's hand. When their hands connected there was a shock causing a flinch from Chandice to pull back.

"Oo, we shocked." She laughed nervously holding her hand. Eliza chuckled with a nod.

"Indeed we did." All three children smacked their teeth turning away to walk to the car. They were not very happy.

"This some bullshit!" Ar'mon hollered throwing his air pods on the floor of the car.

"For real." Zuri replied placing her face in her hand. She leaned against the window of the car.

"I hate that never ask for our opinion on anything like this." Shiloh said shaking his head.

"Ain't that the truth." Ar'mon said. "Then on top of that we in the middle of no fucking where." Ar'mon said with his hands lifted up and then slapped them
down onto his thighs.

All three siblings looked at each and busted out laughing. It was more so to Ar'mon with his last outburst. "What? Boy!" Zuri said shooting her hand up.
