Jaren clicks on John’s message and reads it. Even if it was just a simple ‘hey, you up for some CS:GO?’ it made a smile appear on his face. He knew it was too late now to play if there were other friends or John had to go do something like get groceries or get some editing done. Although he thought John won’t reply back he decided to message him.

He started to type out a message and sent it off, saying ‘Hey, sorry I did not respond I just decided to do some deep cleaning.’ He didn’t think John knew about his dad’s house or even thought to message one of his friends from his childhood. He didn’t lie to John because that is pretty much what he was doing, cleaning and making sure everything is perfect like back then. To him if they could play something it would most likely be his last chance to. The reason being Jaren not knowing when his dad is coming, although he wished he would never show up.

He was snapped out of his thoughts to a discord notification and what do you know, it’s from John.

-

John was now sitting in the CS:GO menu with Fitz, Zuckles, and now Grizzy or Nelson who had recently joined after Raccooneggs and Swaggersouls left. They both had to get some editing done so they can upload tomorrow. He was taking a hit of his vape while he listened to Fitz talk to Grizzy since they haven’t talked in awhile. Then he heard his discord go off, tabbing out of the game and going to discord. He saw the notification is from Smitty and it made him smile a little before clicking on the chat to read the message. He didn’t forget what Samuel told him and seeing that Smitty isn’t saying it so he decided to not push him. Being happy that Smitty got to message him. He thought for a second before speaking up to ask if Smitty can join.

“Yo, can the milkbag join if he is able to?” he asks Fitz, Zuckles and Grizzy but mainly Fitz since he made the call.

“Yeah of course he can join.” Fitz answered kindly.

“Alright.” John said before messaging Smitty back.

John typed quickly putting, ‘Hey, if you are free you can join Fitz, Zuckles, Grizzy and me in CS:GO.’ Then he sat back and watched his screen for Smitty to type with some answer. He was excited to get a response hoping Smitty can join. Even if it could be for a few minutes to just chat.

-

Smitty still sat at his desk and smiled more seeing that John replied back which means he is not working on anything. He clicked on the message and read it. He responded back quickly with a ‘sure’ to not seem overly happy to join or something. Trying to seem like he is alright and that things are fine even though in reality nothing is fine. His dad is coming to live with him and he feels like there is nothing he can do but accept it. He thinks he can never escape, especially now since his dad doesn't have nowhere else to go and neither does he. His only chance of escape was his YouTube career and this house. It will cost too much to get another house either it being for his dad to live in or him and his dad can live here.

He was distracted by his thoughts until discord gave him a request to join a call. With a quick shake of his head and a deep breath to clear his thoughts he accepted it. Once he joined he could hear all of them welcoming him. He heard Grizzy draw out his name then with a hello making him snicker and he replied back with a ‘hey.’

He got out of discord and brought up CS:GO to join them for some rounds hopefully. Fitz was saying something about what happened earlier on what Swaggersouls said making him chuckle some. This being the first time since last night that he has smiled and chuckled. Right then he knew that this would be a good session and like that the thought of his dad left his mind for the moment.

John was sitting back, smiling so much since Smitty is here. Although, he won't admit it out loud but he likes Smitty. Like a whole lot but there's no way he'll be able to tell him that. John was paying full attention now, not wandering off thinking about Smitty since he's here.
