Chapter 30 (Let her go)

2 hours already passed since the sudden news came up yet Sana is still looking up at it, searching about it, making sure it's not just written by others and not just a rumor. After a lot of searches, Sana confirmed it wasn't really just a made-up news or a rumor, it's real and confirmed by both companies.

She doesn't know what to feel or how to act. Is she going to be happy and feel relieved? Is she going to be mad because Taehyung just made up his decision right now? She's also wondering how to approach him in regards to the sudden news as she said hurtful words to Taehyung before. She's been also avoiding him.

She went to her cintacts and scrolled down to find his caller ID. She found it but was hesitating if she's going to call or what? Send him a message? What do I tell him if I send him a nessage? If I'm gonna call, how should I start? What to tell him? A lot of thoughts and questions ran into her mind but was interrupted when she got a call from Mark

She picked it up, "hello, oppa?"

"Sana-yah, I know you wanted space but I really need to tell you this"

"Okay, I'm coming"

"No, I-I'll go there"

"Hm" Sana hummed as an agreement and ended the call

Few minutes later, a knock was heard at the door. Chaeyoung went to open it, "oh, Mark sunbaenim"

"Is Sana there?" Mark ask and Chaeyoung nodded, "unnie, you have a visitor"

Sana went up to him and hugged him, "what is it that you want to tell me?"

"Can we talk privately? It's really, really private" Mark said and Sana let go of the hug

"Come here" Sana said and dragged Mark to JeongMo's room

"Unnies, I'll use the room!" Sana shouted and closed the door

Mark went to Momo's bed and patted the space beside him, signalling his girlfriend to sit beside him.

Sana went to him, "why is it so important that we have to talk privately?" Sana leaned her head on Mark's shoulder

"You know I love you, right?" Mark said and Sana nodded

"But... but I think I have to let you go" Mark said and Sana stood up and faced Mark

"Oppa" she called

Mark smiled, "you heard it right, Sana-yah"

Sana sat beside him, " oppa, what did I do wrong? Oppa... I love you"

Mark smiled at her, "I know"

"Then, why?" Sana asked, tears falling down her cheeks, "I love you, oppa"

"Sana-yah," Mark said and wipe Sana's tears, "Yes, you love me but... but not as much as you love Taehyung"

Sana's eyes widened by the sudden mention of the name, "w-what?"

Mark smiled at her and held her hands, "Sana-yah, I know... I know you still love him"

"Oppa," Sana said, letting her tears escape

"Did you think I didn't notice you're already avoiding him? I know the reason why you needed some space, it's because you have me and him in your heart. You needed space so that you'll forget about him. Do you think being in a relationship with me will help you forget about him? No. Do you think avoiding him helps you forget him? No, because everytime you avoid him, it only hurts you more. Sana-yah, I love you and you love me but not as much as you love him. You still love him, Sana-yah" Mark said

"Did he tell you to break up with me?" Sana suddenly said

"No, it's my decision. This is the best way to keep you from hurting more... to let you go" Mark said, "I'm doing this for you. I want you to be happy and free from pain"

"I know you dated me because you think it's the best way to move on and foget about him but it's not. Being in a relationship with me only hurts you more and I don't want that" Mark continued

Mark smiled at her and kissed her forehead, "thank you for loving me". Then, Mark stood up and went out

'Why does everyone I love always leave me behind?' Sana thought

When Mark went out the room, Jihyo stood up and was about to ask when Mark left their dorm. She immediately ran to JeongMo's room, followed by the other members. There, they saw Sana, crying.

---Got7's room---

"How--" Jaebum was about to ask how did it went but he was cut off when Mark shut his room's door and locked it

"He needs time" BamBam said tapping Jaebum's shoulder and Jaebum just sighed

Mark told them what he's gonna do before he told Sana.

---Mark's room---

Sobs are only heard inside his room. He's crying a lot right now. He did a painful choice but he did it because he loves Sana.

'I need to let her go so she won't suffer anymore' Mark nodded
