Out to Sea
A/n. In this story Percy never went to calypso's island, yes, he did launch himself out of Mount St. Helens but instead he was lost at sea for a few dozen days. In the end he arrived back at camp when the Hera admitted that she messed with his trajectory when Poseidon felt his presence still in his domain. When Poseidon learned of Heras interference, the rage of several Olympians was considerable, and Poseidon acted out against both Zeus and Hera. Even though all this happened Poseidon did come to help with typhon. Besides that anything that I haven't mentioned is the same

Chapter 1:
Its august 18 and I could not be more miserable, lets rewind a little bit back to the battle of Manhattan.
The elevator made an audible "DING" as the doors slid open revealing Olympus in all of its glory, but something was off, the usually bustling streets were now empty, and rubble was scattered everywhere. We all exchanged glances and continued up the path towards the throne room we, we were almost there when we hear a rumbling and I looked up to see the large Hera statue start to fall, then with a sharp push me and Annabeth were shoved forward hard I fell on the ground a few feet from where the statue had fallen and heard cries of agony. My heart clenched as I thought "Thalia" and I must have said it aloud cause Annabeth's eyes widened, the three of us scrambled around to the other side and saw the upper half of Thalia with her legs trapped underneath. I bent down and tried to tug her from out of the 30 ft tall Hera and she screamed, her lounges hoarse, she looked me in the eyes and said "Percy go you can't get me out, go stop him, you have too" I looked at her and saw the determination in her eyes and realized she was right.
We kept moving and arrived at the already open throne room the large golden doors were smashed off the hinges and thrown onto the ground large dents defiling the beautiful art deco designs. We ran into the room our hearts pumping fast, we saw Kronos standing in the center of the room back to us staring at the thrones. Unbeknownst to us, there was another boy in the throne room. The boy saw us and called "My lord, they have arrived" Kronos whirled around and laughed, a crazy laugh, one with furry and insanity. "What throne should I destroy Perseus Jackson, your fathers would make excellent kindling" this angered me, and I charged. I know reckless and dumb but hey I am a demigod. My sword met his scythe and sparks flew, I yelled and kicked him in the chest as hard as I could and watched him fly back into a wall. He laughed and insane laugh and charged but not at me, to my horror I ran forward to help, but it was too late Annabeth fell to the ground, Kronos' scythe dripping with blood. Her blood. I bent over growling and breathing heavily, power flowed through my veins my eyes glowing that dark blueish green. I turned on Kronos, my vision was blood red. For a minute Kronos looked scared and I smirked the fear in his eyes, I knew one of us would not leave her alive and I was gonna fight to the end. I felt myself become very light almost I was dissolving and then I was gone reappearing behind Kronos. I did not even think, I started slashing and stabbing as fast and as hard I could. I disappeared again and appeared off to the side. On a whim I thrust out my hand and Kronos froze; I was in awe at what was happening I had no idea how, but he was unable to move. I ran forward and felt a presence in my head, a feminine voice that sounded sweat but harsh like they could tear me apart running like a river I stopped sweat running down my forehead. "Under the armpit, it's your only hope" it said I was confused and scarred, and heart broken, so many feelings bottled up inside me but I was certain. I vanished again to mist just Kronos finally broke free of whatever paralysis I had put on him and he lunged at me but I was already gone, his arm was outstretched as he swung at where I just was. I popped out behind him and swung at his ribs right under his armpit and to my surprise this time riptide didn't just bounce off his skin. My blade sunk into the body of Luke only about an inch into his skin, light started to leak from the wound and I collapsed my whole body tired there was a blast of light and Luke started to heat up to an unbearable amount and then it ended Luke coughed and spluttered, I walked over to Luke's body and listened as Luke tried to say something "Pe p Percy" he coughed violently blood leaking out of his mouth, "I'm here Luke, it's okay its over" "good, Percy I'm sorry I was wrong about the titans" "I wish I never left camp, or helped Kronos or" his eyes went blank that cold icy blue. Then and I remembered Annabeth and Grover and Ethan. Grover was unconscious leaning against the wall, while Ethan was no where to be found his flag left behind. I ran over to Annabeth and wept for the one I cared about most tears running down my cheeks, I had no idea how long I was there, but I felt a hand on my shoulder. I whipped around riptide in my hand and slashed. I stopped a few inches from Grovers neck, I took in his wide eyes and curly hair and lowered my sword he leaned down with me and tried to take Annabeth's body from my lap where id been holding her crying. I growled and gripped my sword tighter and Grover backed up and scrambled out of the throne room calling behind to me "I'll go find the gods" I bent down again and continued to cry for my fallen friend and love. Once again I lost track of time and once again, I felt a hand on my shoulder and once again I grabbed riptide, "Percy" it was my fathers voice. Anger bubbled within me and I turned to him just in time for him to hug me. My anger disappeared, all that was left was despair and sadness as I cried into his shoulder. We flashed out of the throne room to the beach at camp half-blood where we sat, and my dad held me as I cried. At this point the sun was setting and my eyes had no tears left to shed.
