It's ironic, really. He met Shawn at a wedding, but now he's the star of his own.

A/N: This is Shaylorrrrrrrrrr. My second favorite (After Jolinsky, of course). (I've had this in my drafts for months, and with gay marriage being legal in all 50 states, I decided to celebrate by finishing this up.)

Taylor was sitting alone, mindlessly sipping at a glass of champagne. He was sat at his best friend's, Matt's, wedding reception.

Earlier, Matt nearly pounced on the smaller boy, Carter, when they said he could kiss his groom. They were so in love, and part of Taylor hated them for it.

Sure, it was great that Matt found his happy ending, but where was his? He had failed miserably at love all of his life, and only came close once.

His name was Dillon, and he thought they were in love. Well, he was in love at least.

Dillon and him had broken it off, Dillon saying that they lost their spark, and left him with a sad smile and a promise to remain friends.

Thinking back on the memory, Taylor scoffed. Dillon had cut off all contact with him after that night. He changed his number and moved away, taking a chunk of Taylor's heart with him.

A presence snapped him out of his thoughts. He looked over to the right, and saw a brown haired boy sat next to him. He noticed how attractive he was instantly, and stuck out a hand.

"I'm Taylor"

"Shawn"

And that was how it started.

Now, its nearly two years later, and Taylor is slipping on his suit, nervously. He starts to sweat a little, and constantly fixes his hair. He hears a knock at the door before someone slips in.

"You ready to become Mr. Shawn Mendes?" His best friend teased, clasping a hand over his shoulder. Taylor rolled his eyes playfully.

"If anything, he's becoming Mr. Taylor Caniff, thank you. But I'm so nervous. I just want everything to be perfect. Shawn deserves it, he's the best thing that's ever happened to me, and-"

"Glad to know I mean nothing to you." Matt muttered.

Taylor glared at the boy. "Not about you, Espinosa."

"Sorry" he apologized half heartedly.

"Whatever. But how did you know you were doing the right thing?"

Matt spoke. "You don't. When me and Carter got married, I was scared shitless. I was scared that he would think he was making a mistake, or find out that he didn't love me. But you have to just let it happen. Look at us now. We're still going strong, we have kids now. Plus, Shawn loves you and vice versa. You'll be fine. " he finished.

Taylor pulled Matt into a hug. "Thanks for being the best friend ever. Now c'mon, we got a wedding to attend. " he said before dragging his friend to their spots.

Taylor stood at the altar, waiting for his fiance to walk down the aisle. His palms were sweaty, and he wiped his hands on the side of his trousers.

He averted his eyes from the ground, and looked up. He was instantly mesmerized. Shawn was walking towards him in a fitted white suit. His father gave off the tall boy, and Taylor could swear he saw a tear roll down his face.

It's ironic, really. He had met Shawn at a wedding, and now he's the star of his own.

Shawn finally reached him, sending him a small, nervous smile before the priest started speaking.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join these men in matrimony."

"Taylor, do you take this man to be your husband, to live together in matrimony, to love him, to honor him, to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall live?"

"I do." Taylor says confidently, smiling over at Shawn.

"Shawn, do you take this man to be your husband, to live together in matrimony, to love him, to honor him, to comfort him, and to keep him in sickness and in health, forsaking all others, for as long as you both shall li-?"

"I do." Shawn says, accidently interrupting the priest. This ignited a laugh from the audience. Shawn blushed, but Taylor sent a reasurring smile over to him.

The two then exchanged their rings, and the priest declared their marriage.

"I now pronounce you two husband and husband. You may now kiss your-" he was too slow for the two boys who eagerly  shoved their lips together.

Taylor then picked up his husband bridal style and ran down the altar. When Shawn giggled, he knew then that he had made the right choice.

A/N: Its not MIWNY, but its something, yeah. Sorry for any inconsistencies in the wedding aspect, I've never actually been to a wedding, so yeah. I hope you like it.
