Kai POV
We finished our breakfast and sat around trying to keep ourselves busy. "We have to get home today." Lloyd says after a while of silence.
"We aren't fit to travel, Lloyd." I try to convince him.
"So what then? We're just suppose to sit here for who knows how long while our friends get attacked by stupid assassins?" He says in a very frustrated voice.
"I know you're frustrated, but ignoring your health won't help! You know that!"
He lets out a defeated sigh. "I know, I'm sorry."
I look at him with pity. "Lloyd... what's causing to act like this? Is it because of the dream?" I ask him. He doesn't look at me. "It is because of that, isn't it?" He slowly nods. "Want to talk about it?"
There is silence in the room for a moment until Lloyd says quietly, "I don't really know what it was myself. I was standing in complete darkness, my voice echoed like crazy when I spoke. Then, out of nowhere, a cold and raspy voice started talking to me and his voice was so loud and echoed everywhere, it hurt my ears. After that, the ground broke beneath me and I was falling into a black abyss. I tried to fly but my wings had dozen's of rips in them, so I just kept falling and falling until I hit the ground so hard I thought three tons of bricks were dropped onto me. Then, some force began to... to beat me up, like kick me, and the voice kept insulting me. And then the Silent Soarers appeared and they began to... they began to say horrible things to me. Then, they began to close in on me and they were about to kill me, when you woke me up."
I stare at him. That's not what I was expecting. "The whole time," he continues. "I was wearing a ninja suit similar to yours, but green. The voice kept saying 'You can't defeat me' and my friends kept calling me 'Green Ninja' and 'Dragonkin'. What does it mean? And what the heck is a dragonkin?"
I continue to stare at him, speechless. I then remember the conversation I had with Garmadon, Misako, and Wu a few weeks ago.
~~~two weeks earlier~~~
I was training with the other ninja and our new allies. We were teaching them some of our moves and they were teaching us some of their moves. We had known the Dark Islanders for a week now. Garmadon suddenly calls from the stairs leading below deck to me. I excuse myself from the group and I follow Garmadon into the same room I had talked to them in when I told them about Lloyd. Inside the room was only Garmadon and Misako.
"Kai," Misako greets me. "Thank you for speaking with us."
I nod. "What's the problem?" I ask them.
"There's no problem," Garmadon reassures me. "We just wanted to speak to you."
"As you know," Misako says. "Lloyd and Katelyn are dragonkin, and we now know that they are our children. But, they have grown up nearly their whole lives without parents. They don't even know they're dragonkin! And... we don't know how to approach them about us being their parents. So, we were wondering if you could keep this a secret until Garmadon and I are ready to tell them?" I look at them for a moment. They want me to keep the biggest secrets from their own children? I hope this doesn't end badly...
"I'll keep your secret." I tell them. "But I think it would be best to tell them soon. They have a right to know."
"Of course! We just need some time to figure out how to break it to them." Garmadon tells me.
