Chapter 1

Third Person POV

Hermione was laying across her bed in Ginny's room at the burrow. It was nearing the first day of school, and, despite the effects of the war, she was determined to get back on track.

It was 6:00pm on a Wednesday evening when a tawny owl swooped over Hermione's head, dropping a letter on her lap. It was addressed to her in emerald green writing and as she flipped it over and smiled at the sight of the familiar Hogwarts crest sealing the letter shut. It was probably the best news she had had in months.

"GINNY!!" Hermione squealed.

"Who died!" Ginny ran into her room in a panic!

"Guess what I have!!!" Hermione held the letter up beaming which caused Ginny to lepep forward and snatch the letter from Hermione's hand.

"HEAD GIRL!....YOU GOT HEAD GIRL!" Ginny was screaming at the top of her lungs, her voice radiating with joy, "I'm so proud of you 'Mione!"
"GINEVERA WEALESY KEEP YOUR VOICE DOWN!" The loud shout of Molly Weasley's voice was heard in their room.

"I'M SORRY MUM BUT 'MIONE GOT HEAD GIRL!" Ginny shouted back at her mother who appeared at the door like literally the next second because she apparated.

"Oh Hermione dear your parents would be so proud of you!"
"Th...Thank you Molly!" Hermione choked back tears.

"Hermione dear please don't start crying they wouldn't want you to cry!" Molly hugged Hermione the second she saw Hermione's eyes water.

"I know it's just.....I just....I miss them....I never got to say goodbye because they didn't remember who I was!" Hermione was a mess by this point crying into Molly's comforting hug.

September 1st (1989 DEAR DIARY)

It was the morning of the first day of school, the day they leave for Hogwarts! (home) Hermione was helping Ginny pack the final bits they needed for school.

"Hermione, Ginny you guys ready? Mum keeps telling us it's nearly time to go!"
"Coming Ronald!"
Hermione grabbed her trunk and dragged it down the many steps behind her.

"Seriously Ronald you know not to rush me!"
"Hey.....It wasn't me it was Mum!"
"Sure blame it on our poor mother!" George blurted from the top of the stairs.
"Stay out of this George!" Ron shouted at his older brother.

"Come on Weasley's lets go!" Arthur hurried everyone to the CAR! (I RESURRECTED THE CAAAR!)

Hermione's POV

It was just as I remembered......loud and exciting....King's Cross that is!

"Hurry up Children you can't miss the train on your first day back since.....you know!" Molly shouted at us from miles in front!

"Come on Harry...I know you aren't coming with us this year but.....!" Of course Ginny is trying to rush us like her mother.

I hate that Harry and Ron aren't coming with us this year....what I hate more though is Ron isn't wishing his sister and I goodbye, but I understand that he has far more training to do that Harry since well you know.....Ronald isn't the fittest person I know.

"OI POTTER!" Malfoy....... "Why did they give you a job without training?" Looks like Malfoy hasn't changed...well that's a lie really he does look better than before.....and...happier!
