Chapter 8~ The Village

"So were you wanna go?" Cal looked at me with a bit of excitement in his eyes."Well I need to get my holomap George gave me. It's back in my ship " I pointed at my half covered yellow fighter and walked straight up to it. I went inside to look for my map. After AD and I were landing a't this planet I was to much in a rush to remember were I put all of my stuff. After a few minutes of searching I finally found it. It must had slipped under the control table after we were landing. I bend down to get it, but when I wanted to get back up I  hit my head against the bottom of the table. "Ah fuck...!" AD immediately came up to me Ann beeped hysterically. "I'm alright AD, don't worry."I smiled and tried to get up. I looked around to see if I could find anything else that could be useful for me later. So I started walking up and down the small room scanning all the walls and boxes that were in there. But I didn't found anything useful, except a leather jacket for men... 'wow, how useful ' I took it with me, because mabey I could make anything wearable out of it. As AD and I were heading back outside BD and Cal were still waiting for us. "Found it?"Cal walked up to me as he noticed I was still rubbing the back of my head. With a small bit of excitement he asked if I were alright. I nodded and giggled.
"So were are we going?" I smiled, trying to not let him notice that I was really nervous.  Not only because of him, only because of this whole scenario. I just didn't know what to expect of it. Not even AD could predict what would happen. Cal walked into the small hall next my ship. A lot of boxes and other stuff was standing around. He walked straight up to a small orange gate which will lead to a way through the mountain. It didn't took long to get to the other side. As we stepped out of the second door we looked at a beautiful smal village. Sure it was empty and also took over by the Empire but still it was beautiful.

Cal and I steeped out onto a roof of one of the houses. Some of them were concerned by old rusty pipes. I was really amazed by the slings growning up the side walls of the houses. Although no one lives there it still had something amazing. I speed up to the end of the roof to see the whole village. At least I was able to see all the buildings. "It is amazing..." You could tell by my face that I was really amazed of the nature and the view. I heard Cal laughing. I looked at him angrily. "Sorry" He smiled and stand next to me.  "Have you ever wondered what could have been if the Empire didn't took over this planet. " I turned around to look at him.He was silent.  "I've often wondered what if I hadn't gotten into it all and never led the empire on this track. Only it wouldn't have changed much. Sooner or later they would have taken this planet too ..." He  looked at the ground and walked up to the edge of the building and jumped down.

I followed him. I can hear AD giving a somewhat depressed beep.  He hopped off my shoulder and ran his short legs down the slope and after Cal.  He got there faster and I saw him hold on to Cal's leg.  "Hey there buddy what's up?"  Cal laughed briefly and then knelt down to AD.  BD didn't like the fact that Cal worried about another droid.  "Beep-weep" AD excitedly beeps up to Cal and skilfully ignores the quiet sounds of BD. Cal spoke up again and assured the little droid that he wasn't going to leave us alone.  AD made a little jump into the air and ran back to me. "What did he say?" I head straight for Cal and stopped shortly in front of him. We were now standing in front of an arched metal bridge, at the end of which an old pipe protruded.  "He was just worried that I would leave you alone." He smiled down at him and then looked me in the eyes.

The moment I looked in his eyes, I felt a small prick in my belly and noticed how the cheek shot into my cheeks.His eyes and smile were just too much for me. I quickly looked away so he wouldn't notice my reaction. "SO....where do we wanna go next?"I put on a weird nervous smile and walked up the stairs and headed towards the bridge.
Cal followed me "If you want we can go up that mountain so we can see the village a bit better. " I nodded and he walked past me to get onto the bridge.  He held out his hand and told me to follow him. I was a bit scared because I never was good at balancing, but with his help I kinda made it. Even the jump wasn't that bad...but I almost peed myself cause of the height...

As we finally made it up the mountain and through the cave we finally got to the point  where we could see the whole village.  It was stunning.  Not only the village but the hole environment around it... The waterfalls and the mountains... just beautiful.

Cal noticed my reaction and laughed...again. "Dont you have some better things to do than just stand there and laugh at me?!!" I was al little bit upset so I crossed my arms in front of my chest. "Im really sorry but I never seen someone to be that excited about a view." He looked at me with a grin and put his hand on the back of his head.  When he turned away he stood a little behind me.  I thought nothing of it and continued to enjoy the cool wind and the view.  "We should go back slowly. It's getting dark."  We didn't talk very much on our way back. As we git back to the Mantis Cere already was waiting for us. " I was wondering when you two are coming back." She looked at me and  than back at Cal."Cal go inside and meet Greez please.I need to talk to (y/n) for a moment."
I swallowed hard. Hopefully I hadn't done anything wrong.Cere came a little closer to me and led me a little away from the ship. "I want to find out if I can trust you. So I'll go with Cal on his next missions, if possible." I nodded slowly and looked at my hands, cautiously. "I have no problem with that, just I don't think I'm of much help ..." Cere nodded in understanding.  Then she looked at my blaster. "You know how to deal with the thing?"  I looked at her briefly confused because I didn't really know what she meant, then she pointed it with her finger and I understood.  "Oh yeah ... I can handle it ... but not very well."  Cere turned and headed for Mantis again.  "Well, before we fly out of here tomorrow I'll show you a few tricks."

With that said we went back inside and sat down at the table.
