Now all that was on Ashley's mind was getting ready for graduation as she took her last exam, and got her results back, another perfect score, and her excitement knew no bounds.

"Only two weeks till Graduation!" Ashley exclaimed as she and her friends walked home.

"Yeah Ash, I'm so excited too! Can't wait till you give the speech!" Her friend Audrey told her. "I know you have the stage jitters, just focus on what you wrote in the speech and nothing else. Just picture an empty audience, you'll do great, trust me!"

"Thanks Audrey, but there's going to be thousands of people up there! Plus everyone's gonna judge me. No one's going to be expecting me, the school activist and "troublemaker" to be on that stage."

Ashley's other friend Sam said, "Ash, you've made so many changes to the school. You started the composting program, you had the governor increase money for fine arts and music,  thanks to you, we don't just have a jazz band and chorus group, but a rock and metal band! You even had the school install solar panels! Ash, you're an inspiration!

"Thank you guys!I love you all so much!" Then the group hugged. "We love you too!" The two of them exclaimed

Then Ashley, Audrey and Sam (Samantha) Reached the intersection in which they parted ways, and Audrey went to the right, Sam went to the left, and Samantha continued five more blocks up the street.

She then turned a corner and reached her street. For a couple weeks there was an old white, ford Econoline work/cargo, and even on the license plate it said "Commercial" which meant it was a work vehicle. Ashley noticed different plates on different days, which in Ashley's mind meant it was different vans and that there might have been some work going on, such as the house across the street that was being repaired.

As she walked past the van as she always did, she took a few more steps, until she felt a sharp pain on the upper right side of her neck.

"OW!" She exclaimed and reached for her neck, thinking a bee sting her. Instead she felt an object there, she yanked it out, and saw what it was, and it looked to be a dart of some sort, and when Ashley saw the vial was almost empty she immediately realized what it was and where it came from. she looked at it, and said, "Oh shit." she looked to the van, and saw the door closed.

She began running in the direction of her house, then halfway up the block, I began feeling a bit weak and tired, and then she felt another dart hit me in the neck, and just when she reached her front yard, just before she could reach the safety of her house, literally on her own property, she fell unconscious. Just before she fell to the ground and lost all consciousness, she briefly felt someone catch her mid fall, and then everything went dark.
