"What's happening?" Barry asked alarm shown clearly on his face.
"It's the security alarm. It seems that someone has broken into our lab." Dr. Wells responded.
"I've got it. You, Cisco, and Caitlin stay outside where-"
"No Barry!" Wells sharply interrupted, "you don't know what's in there. It could be anyone... Or anything. Lets be cautious about this one. We'll all go in carefully. Lets head to the main control room, most likely we'll find our trespasser in there "
Reluctantly Barry agreed and the four of them stepped inside. As they started to make their way to the control room, Dr. Wells turned to Cisco and said "Go to the weapons room quickly and grab what you might think is useful. Meet us at the main room. Hopefully we won't have to use whatever you grab.''
Cisco nodded a quick okay and hurried off. The other continued on until they rounded the corner to the control room. And in the middle of the room, hands over their ears to block out the screeching of the sirens, was.... a girl. She looked up suddenly and her eyes widened in fear. The trio had frozen, surprised that the trespasser was so, well, normal looking. Dr. Wells was the first to move, wheeling over to the computer and shutting off the alarm. They became aware that the girl was talking, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I... I.." Caitlin made a move as if to go to the girl, but the desk next to her suddenly jolted and hit her in the knees. Flipping over, Caitlin landed on her back and let out a wheeze. In a flash, Barry was at her side," Caitlin are you okay?"
She coughed and stood up shakily, "yeah, I'm fine, just got the wind knocked out of me. I don't know why happened, the desk it.. "
Dr. Wells let out a gasp, and said "Barry, Caitlin don't make any quick movements, just come back and stand by me." He then turned to the girl, "Now listen, we're not going to hurt you okay? let's just all calm down and have a chat"
The girl had begun to shake, her hands were out in front of her and tears seemed to be glistening in her eyes, "I'm sorry, I...I didn't.. I didn't mean to, really I didn't." The light above her head shattered unexpectantly, glass raining down and cutting her face. She flinched and jumped back a little, "This was a mistake, I shouldn't have come, I shouldn't have come!"
Then around the corner, came Cisco with a tranquilliser gun in hand. He shot it at the girl before Dr. Wells could yell out a quick, "No Cisco!"
The dart flew at the stranger and then, instead of doing what it was intended to do, the dart stopped. In midair, it froze, and just as quickly, it turned around and planted itself in Cisco's thigh. He only had time to mutter an "Oh, crap." before he fell to the floor, asleep to the world.
Everyone was quiet and simultaneously all heads turned to the mysterious girl in the middle of the room. She turned pale, white as a ghost, "oh my gosh, I killed him, didn't I?" Her breaths turned shallow and she started to hyperventilate. By this time Barry had had enough and, not caring whether or not this girl was dangerous, he opened the tranq. gun, took a dart out, ran to the girl, and inserted the chemical into her arm. This, of course, happened in less than a second, and before anyone could blink the girl had fallen and was now laying in Barry's arms.
He glanced up at Dr. Wells and asked the question everyone was thinking, "Now what?"
