after had noticing kageyama looking at you, throwing a smile his way before he continued backstage, you then frowned slightly, not being able to see mystery man. you smiled and gazed at your friend; giggling, you shared your idea, "should i do a last minute sign-up for the music festival?" you had asked, your eyes deemed to light up, gazing at your friend with your e/c eyes cheerfully. your friend snickers and complies with your plan. escorting you to the host; getting you signed up. you begin to feel adrenaline rushing through you. nervously, you peek back at the gigantic crowd you'd be performing in front of. you began to feel some sort of lump buildup in your throat, and you cant seem to swallow it back. as you get escorted to your room, five, that's what your performance number was on the list, despite there being tons of other people that were performing with you. your friend had trailed along with you since you had asked, they agreed. you calmed down and thought of the mystery man, kageyama. you hummed in curiosity, beginning to practice for your turn. once you had finished practicing you approached kageyama's door, nervously. youre friend had cheered you on at the opening of your practice room, you chuckle before knocking softly on his door.

after having granted access into his room, you step in curiously, shutting the door behind you. your gaze had landed on the other, who seemed to have a well fasion sense. 'wow i-' you thought in silence, looking at him in awe before snapping out of it you began to speak, "you seem familiar," you finally managed to spill out without stammering, "oh! sorry for bothering you, h-hey," you had stammered, you deemed disappointment in yourself, brushing it off. "what's up?" you looked him in his navy eyes, which gave off a subtle tense expression for a moment quick quickly exchanged to a tranquil display, "you play too?" your eyes traced to the guitar.

he ambled around his room, in a chirpy mood from practicing. he continued to sing handsomely, his voice was easy to detect despite being muffled; that being, if you were close enough to the door. he heard a knock on his door that softly lingered in his ears, his singing had died down into a comfortable silence. his heart had jumped out of his chest, hearing the voice of the other, but he showed no signs of fright, he kept a nonchalant appearance and tone. his smile and any giveaway of happiness had promptly disappeared. he looked at the y/p with an ominous yet blank gaze; he signaled an allowance of the other to come in his room.

he gazed at the other warily after he stepped inside; adjusting his guitar, the strap rested comfortably on his chest while the guitar was on his back. "do i now?" he questioned cooly, he arched a brow at the other before relaxing his expression. he slid his hands into his pockets, his thin yet tall and muscular frame standing before the other with a subtle tense display, "but, uh, hi," he stammered out in slight confused towards the other before containing his confusion, and displayed a rather tranquil expression and tone, though he deemed curiosity without a doubt. "nothing much, what about you?" he said replying to another part of the other's spoken words, "and, uh, yeah i've played for a long time, i guess." he babbled, but that was the way he spoke usually, "im kageyama." he reached out his hand to shake y/n's hand. his hands were oddly soft, especially for being a volleyball player and a guitarist, and they were comfortably warm. 'why does their hand feel right in mine?' he thought blissfully.
