When you're a child you are told that you can do, be and accomplish anything when you're older as long as you believe and don't give up. That's what adults tell you when your young but if they see your dreams to be to outlandish or
Unrealistic they'll take matters into their own hands and try to help and push you down the right path or at least the path they believe is right for you it gives them some peice of mind but it might give you a sense of betrayal .
I'm not saying all adults or parents are like this it all depends on the person. Some are more open minded then others but might still have a hard time understanding you heres a example. Let's say you tell you parents that you want to be a fairy princess but you were born male they could say "oh well honey your a boy you cant be a princess but you can be a strong brave prince that defeats a dragon and saves a beautiful girl" or they can cheer you on and support you by buying a princess costume for you .
Like I said it depends on the person it's not that they don't believe that you can accomplish your Hope's and dreams they just don't want to see you fail or they don't fully understand what you are trying to convey I know this from personal experience.Hi I'm Ash (Ashlen) a transgender male trying to figure life out while learning to live my life how I want and love my self while the people around me try to learn how to understand and love the new me so get comfortable it's a long rough road to the happy ending but trust me it's worth the wait .
