Chapter 17- (Alanna)

                                                     

                                                                 Sophia's P.O.V

                   I was happy Austin was here but I'm nervous at the same time because he's been talking to Alanna.

Austin- So Alanna where's your daddy?

                I was shocked by his sudden question and I just stared at him while he waited for my babygirl to give him an answer.

Alanna- Mommy said he'll be here... One day.

Austin- I'm sorry sweetheart.

                As we finished eating Peyton took Alanna to her playroom and I continued to clean up our mess from dinner. While I washed the dishes I felt arms come around my waist. I turned around and hugged Austin. We both pulled away a bit and kissed. Austin pulled aways and smiled.

Austin- It's like we never broke up.

                I smiled and kissed him again. It looks like our relationship is back to business. Austin pulled away again and had a serious facail expression on.

Austin- Who's Alanna's father?

Sophia- Ohhh...Uhm, long story.

                I unraveled myself from his arms and walked out of the kitchen. The tension was unbearable.

                                                                             Austin's P.O.V

                    Sophia's hiding something from me and I don't like it. I walked out into the livingroom and plopped onto the couch. I admired the beauty of this place. Then I heard a phone going off. I looked at the coffee table and saw that it was Sophia's so I picked it up without even thinking like I used to do.

Austin- Hello?

Teacher- Hi, this is Mrs.Price. I was calling for Alanna Mahone's mother. You must be Mr.Mahone! Alanna's father!

                I was speechless. So Sophia's long story was that I'm the father... Alanna is my daughter. That's why I feel that kind of bond with her.

Austin- Uhm, yes this is her father.

Teacher- Okay well I would like to inform you that Alanna has no day care tomorrow.

Austin- Okay thank you.

               I hung up and put my head in my hands. Alanna is my daughter... I'm a father. I heard someone walk in and sit down next to me and put their arms around me.

Sophia- Who were you talking to?

Austin- That was the day care teacher. They wanted to inform Alanna Mahone's mother that there will be no day care tomorrow.

                  Sophia looked at me wide eyed and went to get up and walk away. I grabbed her arm and pulled her back down to me.

Austin- So when were you going to tell me that  I missed two years of my daughter's life and she doesn't even know I exist!

Sophia- I-I couldn't contact you. I was going to tell you later-later when you were calmed down from your tour.

Austin- This is my daughter!!

                 I put my head back into my hands and let out a frustrated sigh. Sophia moved closer to me and hugged me again while drawing circles on my back with her fingers.

Sophia- I also didn't want you to find out and leave her.

Austin- She needs to know I'm her dad.

              I picked up my head and looked at her. I looked into her eyes and she smiled nodding her head. I smiled back and kissed her with all my emotions. Then I heard something heart breaking.

Alanna- EWW! MOMMY! I THOUGHT YOU LOVED DADDY!

               We looked up at her and she looked so broken. She ran away crying. Man that just broke my heart. We both got up and ran after her. We entered Alanna's room and Sophia ran over to her hugging her in her arms while Alanna cried every single emotion she was feeling out of her.

Sophia- Shhh. I do love daddy, a lot!

Alanna- Then w-why are you kissing Austin?

               I stepped closer to her and knelt down. I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and cradled her face in my hand.

Austin- My name is, Austin... Carter... Mahone.

             Alanna's eyes grew wide and confused.

Alanna- M-Mahone? My last name is Mahone!

Sophia- Alanna... Austin is daddy.

Alanna- Really?!

          Sophia nodded her head. Alanna slowly looked over at me and started to cry again. She put her arms out to me and I stood to my feet and picked up my little angel and hugged her into my chest. She latched on like I was going to disappear any second.

Alanna- Daddy! Don't leave me again please!

            I started to tear up. My poor little girl is so torn.

Austin- I-I won't babygirl. I promise I'm here to stay.

            I kissed her head as she whicpered to me

Alanna- I love you daddy

Austin- I love you too babygirl

           I whispered back

Well that was a bit too emotional for me.

Austin found out and he's actually happy!
