Chapter 5-This Can't Be True

A/N: AhhhH! THERE'S LIKE SO MUCH HEARTBREAK AND SUCH IN THIS CHAPTER! BUT I REALLY LIKE IT!

-Cassiopeia's P.O.V-

        My daughter. She looked so different, she truly looked like her father. Thick, long black hair, pulled into a ponytail, and gorgeous blue eyes.

        It dawned on me that the only reason my daughter recognized me was because of the wig, and I felt a sinking feeling in my heart because of it.

        "Mom!"

        I just stood there frozen as my daughter ran towards me, but was flung back by some invisible force field.

        "MELODY!"    

        For some reason, neither of us could touch each other. The girls looked at us shocked and Melody seemed to recognize only Alex and Flora, seeing as Jordan had taken her wig off.

        Melody's eyes filled with tears as she stared at Flora.

        "O-Oh, Aunt Mulan! I-I'm s-so s-s-sorry!"

        Flora's eyes widened in shock and I felt my heart break into a million little pieces as I watched helplessly as my daughter cried.

        "Mel, sweetie, what's wrong?"

        "U-Uncle S-Shang..."

        Flora's eyes bugged out of her head now as she stared at Melody.

        "Melody, what's wrong with Shang!?"

        "O-Oh A-Aunt M-Mulan! H-He was k-killed by t-the H-Huns! I'm so so-sorry!"

        A deadly silence engulfed the room as Flora stumbled backwards.

        "N-No! H-He can't be dead! NO! Not Shang!"

        She turned on her heel and ran upstairs, Will following her up.

        "Mel, is...is anyone else...gone?"

        Melody peered up at Alex sadly. Her eyes red and puffy now.

        "Beast..."

        Was all she whispered.

        Lucia froze before she began shaking. Backing away from us all.

        "No...No, Beast, no..."

        Lucia ran upstairs, Dana following closely behind.

-Flora's P.O.V-

        I let out a shaky breath as I slammed my bedroom door, running towards the small chest in the corner of the room.

        Ripping the top open, I began searching for the ring. About six months ago I took my wedding ring off and put it on a chain, but I left it in here.

        I finally found the small gold chain with the intricate silver ring, clutching it to my chest and curling up in the middle of my bed.

        After a good 10 minutes, the bed dipped down and someone brushed some of my hair out of my face as tears ran down my cheeks.

        "Shhh little flower, its alright, shhh."

        Will.

-Lucia's P.O.V-        

        I rushed up to my room, searching through the drawers of my dresser for the mirror Beast gave me.

        I finally found it and held it.

        "S-Show me t-the Beast!"

        Nothing, it stayed blank.

        "S-SHOW M-ME T-THE BEAST!"

        Once again, nothing. I felt more helpless in that one moment then I ever had in my entire life.

        I fell to my knees sobbing. It was true, he was dead. Dead. My Beast, dead.

        It felt like my whole world came crashing down on top of me, my breath shortening until I could longer breath. Little black spots appearing at the corners of my vision. Soon, my whole world was engulfed in black as I spun, down and down into the dark abyss that I may never come back from.

        "C'mon baby girl. Lucia, c'mon, wake up. Please...It'll all be alright, just come back to m-us."

        My eyes flutter open to be met by the one and only Dana.

-Cassiopeia's P.O.V-

        As soon as Lucia had run upstairs, my vision of Melody became hazy. As though she was disappearing.

        "MOM!"

        I realized, she was. She was slowly disappearing, fading out of this world to our old one. I tried to step towards her but it was to late.

        Within seconds, she was gone.

        I couldn't move, my whole life had just been taken away from me the second time. And I had no clue how to react. My daughter, stolen away from me for what I thought was only 8 months, but what was really years.

        "Princess..."

        Cole's hand brushed my cheek to see if I was still in this world. I couldn't take it anymore and collapsed against him in body-racking sobs. Shaking against him as he held me close to him, holding me up.

        "Shhh, its alright Cass. You'll get through this, I'll help you. Shhh."

        Cole picked me up bridal style, my head laying against his chest as my tears fell onto his white shirt and formed little broken hearts.

        Slowly, my eyes fell closed in tiredness. A sleep that I hoped I would never wake up from.
