Cross sat in his never ending void of white or what use to be X-Tale. He was waiting for someone, someone he said was....special.

That someone, was Ink. You see, Ink was Cross's first friend outside of his AU. Ink knew how to make portals, so everyday, he would visit the other to keep him company in the white abyss. Cross couldn't however, so he would just sit and wait for Ink to arrive.

This time, Ink was taking a long time. Had he forgotten about Cross? The monochrome skeleton paced back and forth in attempt to not die of boredom. "Can you stop doing that? I'm starting to get dizzy" Chara said out of no where. "Leave me the hell alone, Chara" Cross growled. "I'm as bored as you, so no" he replied. Cross then removed his very fluffy jacket and set it on the ground.

'What's taking Ink so long!?' Cross thought, he was starting to worry, Chara could tell. "You worrying about that guy named Ink?" Chara was floating by Cross's shoulder as he asked. "N-No!! Well, maybe" Cross said as he stopped pacing back and forth.

"About time you stopped" Chara sarcastically said as Cross rolled his eye lights. Minutes passed, and Ink still haven't arrived. Cross was now getting more worried than before.

Then finally, a rainbow tinted portal appeared, but Cross didn't see the Ink who was mostly happy and unscathed. He saw a tired and hurt Ink. The other side of the portal showed Outertale but covered in blue strings. The artist stepped into the white void, then collapsed. He was limp on the cold floor? Ground? I have no fucking idea what to call it!

"INK!!!" Cross ran over to Ink as he shouted. He dropped to both of his knees and stared at the artist. "Hey," Cross tapped Inks scarred cheek. "You still awake?..." Ink didn't respond. "Heal your boyfriend you idiot!!!" Chara slightly shouted. "HE'S NOT MY GOD DAMN BOYFRIEND" Cross's face was covered in purple blush.

He carried Ink bridal style, the artist was surprisingly very light. Cross walked back to where his jacket was and set Ink down on top of it, just so he wouldn't have to let Ink rest on the cold ground.

"...C?...I-Is that you?.." Ink said. "Awake already Inky?" Cross looked down at the shorty. "...I-Inky?.." Ink chuckled at the nickname. "So, how did you get hurt Ink?" "And, you don't have to explain why you were late" Cross smiled, and a rainbow blush appeared on Inks face.

"Your jacket is really warm, C...and, thanks..." Cross tilted his head. "What? Why?" He asked. "For helping me silly!"

"No problem...just.."

"Don't be late like that again will ya?"
