Chapter 9

~•Jessica's POV•~
Great. We are going to be late, Bart's gonna be mad, sound check is going to take all afternoon, and we have Matt in the elevator which he hates to be in.

Matt is freaking out. He is banging on the doors, yelling at people to use their phones, and everyone else is laughing and recording him. I pull my phone out of my boot and text Bart:

"Hey Bart, bad news. Elevator got stuck between two floors at the hotel and we are going to be late... Please don't kill us! It's not our fault!"

My text sent, but didn't deliver. That means his phone is either dead, or turned off. Great.

10 minutes later I'm sitting against a wall, banging my head on it. I'm so bored. Everyone is sitting against the walls and a couple are by the doors. The only people we are missing is Carter, Taylor, and Aaron. Matt is calmed down now.

"What are we going to do?" Nash asks.

"We've already tried calling in and can't get through. Our phones still work but none of the other guys are messaging us back." Cameron says. We all sigh.

"We should make a YouTube video! I have my video camera on me!" Nash says. We all nod and he pulls it out.

N: What's up guys this is Nash here with my amazing Magcon crew and we are currently stuck in an elevator. So, we decided to make a YouTube video about this wonderful experience. So, how are you feeling about all of this Cameron?

C: I'm completely fine with it. You might want to ask Matt how he is.

N: Okay, Matthew, how are you feeling about this?

M: I'm freaking out man I'm freaking out! Elevators and I do not get along and now I'm stuck in one possibly forever and it sucks!!!

Nash's camera is able to send the video and upload it from his camera so immediately he started getting views and like 5 minutes later we all are signed into our Twitter following and DMing people. Out of all the tweets I got, one really stood out to me.

"Baby Blue Eyes: Jessica! Will you and Hayes just date now You two are literally perfection on your own and would be above and beyond combined!!!!! All in favor of #jayes retweet!!!!"

Altogether, 674,323 retweets. Plus #jayes is trending world wide. Hayes nudges me and shows me the same thing I'm looking at. I nod and smile.

4 HOURS later we are still sitting in the elevator. Most of the guys are sleeping on the walls or on each other. My feet are out in front of me and my head in on Jack's shoulder. Hayes has found a comfy spot on the floor on top of my feet. We are all dead. I am so bored at the moment that I fall asleep.

I wake up and everyone else is dead asleep. I check my phone: 12:24 AM. How has anybody not noticed that we are gone?

I realized that we never contacted any of the other guys not with us. So, I did the thing I never thought I would do: Text Carter.

"Hey, 9 of us are stuck in the elevator. If you can get ahold of Bart will you tell him? Thanks."

He texts back a couple minutes later.
"Are you okay?"

I respond:
"Why would you care. I've moved on, you can too."

He responds:
"I'm sorry. Bart isn't mad. He got your message. His phone just died before he could respond back then he forgot to respond back. The workers are working on the elevator now. They found the problem and said it should last a couple hours at the most to fix. Looks like you guys need to hang in there a few more hours. I'm sorry. Have fun."

I respond back:
"Thanks. Welp, looks like I get to cuddle with Hayes for a couple more hours. Thanks again."

He responds:
"Whatever."

I laugh and put my phone down. Might as well sleep again. I lay back on Jack's shoulder and fall asleep again.
