Healers cast a few more spells on Harry and then woke him from his coma. Granger and Weasel were in the room again when it happened. They'd asked Draco if he minded, and he said no because it didn't really feel like he could say yes anyways.

Green eyes fluttered open. "Ron," he croaked, "'Mione, hey." He tried to prop himself up but was so weak he got nauseous.

Draco jerked forward to help. "Easy, easy, Harry. You're ok. Just let me help you." He moved the pillows and gently helped him sit up. Harry looked at Draco with a very confused expression. "What is it, love? Do you need something? I can go get it for you. Anything. What do you need me to get for you?" He didn't leave Harry's side yet but was standing, ready to go if asked.

Harry looked at Ron and Hermione and then back to Draco. "'Love'? I'm sorry. Who - who are you?" Harry asked, looking between the three of them.

Ron sucked in a sharp breath as Hermione took charge of the situation—as always. "You don't remember Draco? Draco Malfoy?"

Recognition flashed across his face. Relief flashed across Draco's. "Malfoy. Malfoy from Hogwarts." He tensed. His defenses were up now.

Draco started to hyperventilate. He couldn't do this. He couldn't lose Harry. Harry thought he hated him. He completely forgot that they were in love. That they lived together. That they've vacationed and been each other's date to their friends' wedding and went roller skating and slept in the same bed and shared clothes and had inside jokes and cooked each other dinner and owned a Kneazle named Snagrom and —

"No no, Dray. Love. Draco. Dray," Harry soothed. "Dragon, I was kidding." He grabbed both of Draco's hands to pull him out of his undoubtably spiraling thoughts.

"Breathe, mate," Ron spoke from Harry's other side.

"Harry! That's not funny! Poor Draco was distraught!" Hermione chastised.

Harry got Draco breathing sensibly while he hugged him to his chest. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't expect you to have a panic attack. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Harry soothed. "Give us a minute, would you guys?"

"I thought I was stuck with Snagrom all by myself, you arsehole!" Draco's panic subsided into mock anger.

"That was your concern? Snagrom?" Harry's smile brought on some much needed relief for Draco. Once he realized Harry wouldn't wake up without him, his mind allowed him to feel exhausted. Immediately Harry noticed and slowly, carefully made room for him on the small bed.

"Merlin, Harry I thought you'd forgotten about me - about us. Do you know how terrifying that is? It's like a fucking Boggart that can't be cast away." He held Harry close with his raven-colored bed head against his chest.

Harry could feel his boyfriend's muscles mostly relax against him. "I'm sorry, my Dragon. I didn't think it through. I couldn't even imagine a life without you. I don't think there's magic strong enough to make me forget you. I love you. Try to sleep. You haven't in awhile, have you?" He pressed a soft kiss to Draco's chest clad in his own shirt and nuzzled his cheek into the familiar fabric.

"Mmm," he answered. "I love you. I'm ok. You've been asleep so long—" yawn "—I don't wanna sleep now that you're finally awake." Droopy eyelids made staying awake much harder than it had been before.

Ron and Hermione knocked on the door lightly before pushing it open. "Oh, sorry! We don't want to interrupt—"

Harry cut Hermione off as he pulled the blanket over his shoulder. "Don't worry about it. He's asleep anyways."

Draco heard it. Inwardly he protested, defending himself as he was most definitely not already asleep. However, the words never got uttered aloud. Instead they stayed trapped somewhere in the small window of time between awake and asleep.
