"He's dead," Louis murmured, his eyes glued to Justin's body as Harry put his arms around the smaller boy. "I can't believe there's really a killer amongst us. Ha, what are we going to do?" Harry frowned as he rubbed Louis' back, avoiding his question. None of the boys knew what to do, all of them shaken up by the fact that someone had actually murdered this boy.

"We have to bury him," Niall whispered to Zayn, kneeling before the dead body. "He deserves that much." Michael snorted from the side, crossing his arms.

      "We can't do that."

"Of course we can. If you'd all just help. Someone killed him and he deserves to be buried."

"Okay, then, genius," Michael snapped, "how are we going to bury him? Look at the ground, it's solid concrete. There's no way we can get under that." Niall's face fell as he realized what the other boy was saying was true. "Even if there was soil, we wouldn't have time to bury him, look over there." Michael pointed to where the wall was coming closer, their time for arguing running thin. "We have to go. Ca was right, we didn't reach the X, so we have to hurry and get to a safe place before we're all squished!"

Niall glanced back down at Justin's dead body, his stomach knotting itself. He couldn't believe that someone had actually killed this boy. "Ni, Mi is right, we have to go," Zayn murmured to the other boy, placing a hand on his shoulder. Sadly, Niall stood up and sank into Zayn's arms, tears springing to his eyes. "It'll be okay, bud."

Once the camp was cleaned up and packed away, all of them started walking at a brisk pace, hoping that they would soon find the X and be safe.

"So what exactly did you see when you touched the object?" Josh asked, jogging to keep up with Calum's quick pace. "Did you feel weird touching it? Was it like you were really in what you saw? Or could you still see everything that was really around you?"

"Jo, please, one question at a time," Calum laughed, shifting the bag on his back. "I saw something that must have happened to me a while ago. There was this guy, and a girl, and the guy threw a football to me. We got in trouble, but I didn't care. It actually made me feel kind of proud." The sun was still quickly setting, and the boys had yet to reach the X. "And no, it didn't feel weird touching it. It was like I was sucked into my vision, like time had stopped here and I was gone. It was awesome. How long was I touching it, anyway?"

Josh shrugged his shoulders and they kept walking in silence. When at last they could no longer see the sun, Josh yawned and struck up a conversation. "So how do you think it's going back with the other boys?"

"I really have no idea, but I hope the wall crushes them all for being idiots," Calum spat. "Especially Mi. Why does he hate me so much? What did I ever do to him?" Josh shrugged again and they fell back into silence, both wishing that they could get to their destination.

It wasn't long before the X finally came into view, and they both sighed in relief. "It's about time we reached this," Josh huffed as he dropped to the ground and closed his eyes. "My legs hurt and I am so done with walking. I don't want to do this every day." Calum grunted in agreement as he dropped his bag of weapons and plopped himself down next to Josh.

Neither of them moved for a long time, both enjoying the fact that they were once again safe. Finally, Calum rolled over until he was looking up at the sky. There were only a few stars in the blackness, so few that Calum probably could've counted them with no problem. "Jo?" He breathed, sitting up on his elbows. "Do you think we're safe from the Demon?" Josh sat up quickly, his body tense.
