My Own Way (Fuli Story)

3.Danger

"What happened ullu!"kion asked panicked. "The tree, it's on fire and rani is inside!",ullu panted. "Ullu you lead,fuli I will talk to you later fuli",kion said as he ran with ullu.

They reached the tree."baliliyo is also inside!",ullu exclaimed. "Alright,"kion said as he broke into the scene. Ullu in the mean time went to fetch the others.
"Rani!",kion shouted. He called her name again and again but no answer. The smoke was getting too much that kion could barely see. He too was suffocating.

"Kion",a voice cried. It was baliliyo. Kion quickly went to rescue him. "You ok",kion asked. Baliliyo nodded. He seemed very weak. "Is rani ok?",baliliyo questioned. "She will be,for now let's just search",kion assured .

Baliliyo finally stood up and both lions started searching for rani. However there was no sign. Baliliyo had started crying by that time. He was afraid of losing rani. Suddenly kion's eyes fell on something. Rani.

"Rani",kion quickly ran towards her. She was hanging down a cliff.

"I will get you",a familiar voice said. Kion looked in surprise. It was fuli. Kion smiled for he knew fuli would save her.

"Rani hold on",fuli cried. "Fast",rani said. Fuli took a long jump above fire. She led her paw and tried to pull rani up."you can do it",kion supported. Fuli caught rani's paw. Kion ran towards fuli willing to help. Baliliyo did the same.

However suddenly fuli started feeling dizzy. Everything started blacking out. The young cheetah was unable to understand anything and left rani's paw."AAaahhhhhhh",rani gave a blood thrashing scream as she fell down the cliff. Fuli suddenly got sense and realised the situation. She looked down and all she saw was water, flowing rapidly. What will I do?,fuli thought to her horror. She could imagine the kion mad at her,his harsh face and his angered eyes."what did you do?",baliliyo yelled as he bumped in front of fuli."See baliliyo it was.."

"You killed her".

"Please understand".

"I don't want to hear another word".

"I didn't mean it baliliyo!",fuli yelled

"Enough!",kion broke the fight.
"Let's go out first then we will talk",kion said sternly. His anger could be read very easily from his face."kion you.."
"You heard it",kion cried. Baliliyo looked at fuli at the corner of his eye. The three felines walked out. None of them spoke a word. As soon as they got near the eng of fire,they were greeted with water splash. Ullu had called the nightpride and elephants. The fire had cleared out.

"Where is rani?",nirmala questioned.
Kion looked at fuli before looking at nirmala. "Fuli will tell you",kion answered before looking away. "Kion",fuli said."shut up!",baliliyo exclaimed. "I..I...",fuli said trying to hold back her tears."what happened fuli",beshte asked in a comforting tone.
"Huezi",fuli said before sprinting away.
