My Own Way (Fuli Story)

6.The second attack.

Azzad and Fuli quickly raced towards the tree. It was fire everywhere and a lot if smoke. Almost impossible for the two cheetahs to do anything. "See Fuli Azzad told you we need the others ",Azzad said. But Fuli was thinking differently. The thought of Baliliyo was rushing across her mind. I am strong and I can do it myself. I am not that weak,Fuli thought.

"Let's help them",Fuli said as she tried to get in the fire. However she was immediately stopped by Azzad. "What do you think you are doing?",he said. Fuli gave him a stern look and said,"Helping others".
"But that is not how it works! Getting yourself killed to help others? Besides we have kion and the others it would be easier!" Azzad fought back. They gave each other a glare before hearing someone interrupt.

"Zuka Zama!"

Bunga jumped out but crashed on Fuli and Azzad. "Bunga everything alright",kion said. "Does it look alright?" Fuli said with a glare.
"What are you guys doing here?" Kion asked. "The same thing you are doing",Fuli said annoyed.
"You could have got help! Why didn't you join us?", kion said.
"Well there wasn't enough time",Fuli answered.
"But Fuli we are a team and we stick together",Kion said warmly. He knew Fuli was not someone who takes orders.
"But...."
"No Fuli I just want the best for you. You could have got yourself hurt!" Kion smiled.
"Well is someone even gonna help me!",Bunga yelled. "Yeah Bunga we are coming",Kion said before everyone started clearing the fire. After a long time of work finally the fire was put out and the stampeding herds were calmed down. Rani,nirmala and makini were also saved.

"Thanks kion",Rani said. "No problem after all love you so much",kion said as he nuzzled Rani.
Fuli couldn't help but smile. It was true that she felt bad for her choice but still, she was happy to see kion relieved.

"But don't you think its strange that two attacks happened on the same day on the same place",Ono pointed.

"Maybe due to the dry seaso...",Bunga tried to say something but was soon cut off by Beshte,"But it's the wet season little B".

"Something Fishy is going on",Kion said with a raised bow.

"Do you think someone is revolting against us?",Rani asked kion with a serious look.

"Maybe, but the most important thing is that they are trying to attack you Rani",Kion said a concerned tone.

"But if the fire was intentional it was obvious that I had seen the animal behind this. There was no one other than a herd outside the tree",Anga said. "And there was no one hiding in the herd either,I had seen it",Ono supported.

"So what do you think Kion",Fuli asked her leader. Kion turned towards the mess. A lot of area had been damaged. But he was pretty glad since he was at least able to save everyone. The herd,Azzad ,Fuli and Rani were safe.

"Kion",Fuli called again but this time in a rather soothing and comforting tone. She had noticed that he was not being himself. She had caught a glance of the fear and confusion in Kion's eyes. It was obvious for him to be tensed. Two attacks on the same day. In fact in one of the attacks Rani almost lost her life. Worse to that, he lost the chance to celebrate the day with her. Kion had his own reasons to be sad.

"We must be careful. It can be someone attacking us too. And it's always better to take some precaution",kion adviced.
Everyone nodded. "Ono,Anga can you go and check out the borders once",Kion instructed. "Affirmative",Ono said as he and his companion flew up in the night sky.

"Kion it's time for the night pride",Nirmala reminded. "Yeah so guys night for today",Kion said with a sigh. "Night kion",Fuli wished before she headed away. Azzad gave kion a last glance af the place before he followed Fuli. The others too departed.

However Nirmala and Rani had been silent all this time. Rani looked shocked and tensed,pretty much like kion and Nirmala had been observing her. "Better go now",Nirmala said before leaving. But little did she know that Rani too had her very own,secret reasons to be tensed.
