Chapter 11

'I'm back.' I hear TJ say. I stare at that person and I freeze. I feel the wind through my clothes. I start to feel the cold, the pain. I slowly turn to the person and drop my phone out of my hands. 'h... how?' I look deeply into that person's eyes. Not knowing if I have to believe what I see. 'I am still alive, Aiden.' 'She started to talk.' I say to myself. I get torn eyes and try to tell myself it's not real. While I am still frozen looking at her. I start to realize it could be fake. 'Aiden, this is not real, c'mon mate this ain't real. It can't be.. just like my mother.' I look up to her again. 'No this cannot be true..' I walk back inside and look at the mirror not knowing what I am doing. I walk back outside and see Lara stand right in front of me. I start to cry heavily still not believing she is there. 'Are you real? Are you?' She nods. 'Yes, I am.' She smiles with tears holding my face. I hug her tightly, noticing that I missed her so much. 'Lara!' I cry out loud. She hugs me so tightly back. 'I am here, Aiden.' She tries to comfort me by patting my back. I tightly hold her clothes and pull her even more into me by hugging her tighter. 'Lara, you're real. You really are.' I breathe in her smell. I give kisses over her whole face. 'I cannot be any happier at the moment.' I smile like I never use to.

'C'mon inside, let us talk, please.' She nods and smiles. She wipes off her tears and walks in. 'Tell me, Lara, what happened?' She looks at me and walks into the living room. 'My dad.. he rescued me. He heard what happened on time, so he immediately took me out of the ambulance to a better doctor.. and here I am.' 'Come here..' I hug her so tightly again. I take her on the couch while keep hugging her and play with her hair at the same time. 'I've missed you so much..' I kiss her on the forehead. After we both fall asleep on the couch.

MORNING

I slowly wake up. I see the sun shining into my eyes. I barely see things because of the sun. I look next to me and see no one that lies next to me. 'Lara? This can't be fake right?' I say quietly not knowing that I am speaking on a low voice. I move the spare blanket away while trying to stand up. I look around. 'Lara?!' I say with a louder volume. I try to listen for a response. But then I hear Lara sing while she is making food. I slowly lie back down on the couch and put my hands under my head. I smile gently and listen to her sing. 'So peaceful..'

Mom... I got a woman, can you hear her sing? When I see her.. I get so nervous, mother. I thought I'd never love again. But do you see it? I didn't love anyone since I got cheated on by my ex. I am going to do anything to make you proud.. mother.

'Aiden? ... Aiden? sunshi-' 'Lara?' I look up to her and I realize I fell back to sleep. 'S- sorry I- I just fell asleep.' I say while getting nervous a lot. While I try to talk again she kisses me on my forehead. 'Calm down sweetheart. It's fine don't worry.' She laughs. 'Breakfast is ready!' She walks away back to the kitchen. I look at her walk away. 'Someone takes care of me, did you see that? Mother.' I whisper in myself. I stand up and wear my slippers. I take my shirt and wear it that I took off at night. I walk upstairs and wash my face. after I switch my pants to a jogging pant. I walk back downstairs to see Lara. Once I enter the room. I see her making the table ready. I immediately go back to the corridor and take a deep breath. I look at my chest. 'Stop being so much in love for fuck sake.' I hold my chest and feel my heartbeat so fast. 'Aiden?' She joins me in the corridor. I immediately act like I was just doing nothing. 'Yes?' I say while being too nervous. I stare on the ground, trying to look into her eyes. She smiles softly. 'Are you okay?' 'Ye- Yeah, totally..' I say while patting my hair. 'Come.' She holds my arm and pulls me into the living room. 'Are you always talking like this? Or are you just nervous?' She dares to ask. 'I am really..' I look at her not sure what to say. 'Let's eat Lara, I have to go out soon.' I try to ignore her question and my feelings at the same time. She nods. She looks a bit sad but tries to prevent it.

I stand up not caring to make her sad. I take my jacket and my keys. I look at her and see her ignore my look. I walk away out of the house. I take some drugs in my arms, just a little bit this time. I walk up to TJ's house and knock on the door. 'We're leaving, go dress quickly.' I say when I see TJ come up to the door. 'Bro, man I just woke up. Where the fuck are we going?' He says tired. 'Mate, come or I go now.' He nods bored and walks away. After a while, he comes back with normal clothes. 'Aight lets go.' We walk up to my car. While TJ gets into the car, I watch the windows of my house and open the door of the car at the same time. I hear my mind say: 'You scared fucker.' I blink a few times as if it will make me think differently. I get in the car and hold the steering wheel tightly. I see TJ busy with his phone not minding at all. I start the car and drive to my pub. 'We are at our destination, c'mon let's go.' 'In the fucking morning Aiden? Jeez, what the fuck is wrong with you.' We step out and I throw the keys of my office to TJ. 'Shut it and open the fucking door.' I light a cigarette, when TJ is busy opening the door. I take drugs into my veins. I hear TJ say: 'I opened the door, let's walk inside.' I nod and he follows me walking inside. I walk up to my office and sit on my chair. I lean my head on the chair. I take a deep breath. I feel the coldness from the windows flow through my clothes. I feel the heat of the sun. I feel the weird feeling I get from the drugs. I feel the pain inside me. I blow the cigarette a few times to relieve my stress. I look at TJ and see him looking around. 'interesting?' 'hmm yeah.' I extinguish the cigarette. 'I want you to take care of my office and my work from now on.' TJ immediately turns his head to me and looks overreacted. 'WHAT?! Are you serious?' He laughs. 'Actually, I'd like to.' 'Yeah I know you will, and that's why I choose you.' I try to relax from my drugs, the effect. My phone starts to vibrate and ring loudly. I pick up my phone and see it's an unknown number. 'It's me, Thomas, we got a party tonight at home, it starts at 11 pm.' 'mhm.' I cut the call and I stand up. I hold walls to stand steady. TJ opens the door knowing I took drugs. 'I'll do your business then...' He says walking to the chair, staring at me, worried. I nod and walk downstairs, I see this woman staring at me, wearing half-dressed. She slowly comes to me and gently holds my collar. 'You are such an attractive boss.' She bites my lips slowly. I push her against the wall. I put my hands on the wall and kiss her gently. I push myself against her. 'sir..' I hear at my back. I sigh and push myself away from the woman. 'Excuse me for the interrupting, but tonight we got a special guest. He would like to meet you.' He says nervously. 'Suck his fucking dick mate.' I say madly and walk away.

I walk up to my car and ride to my basement. When they see me arrive, they open the doors. I throw my car key to one of my friends. 'Park it for me real quick and come back.' He nods. I walk in. The first thing I see, women and the men partying, dancing, drinking, smoking. I take guns and reload them. 'What's the state of Kay his men?' 'They really don't care about finding you anymore?' 'Bastards.' I take a whiskey and chug it in one try. We will have to take the paper in Kay his room. We can loot. 'Aiden they are too professionals, our men are just basic.' 'Well yes, but we know how to fuck 'em up.' 'Right, it's a risk. But I trust your decisions Aiden.'

'HANDS UP POLICE!' I immediately turn around... I look dazed...
