Y/N is a new resident in the San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital, she has incredible abilities which make her important for the team in surgery. Neil, her instant crush barely did she knew thing could happen.
You went out of the room, asking a nurse where was Dr. Melendez's office, she told you where was it then you run towards his office but before you arrived you saw Neil kissing a girl you recognized, it was her ex-partner Jessica. You would like to run away and scream but you are very brave and you had enough courage to confront him.
"Doctor Melendez ?" Your voice was in pain you felt sad but the feeling was kind of blurry, you never felt that way before.
Neil stops kissing Jessica and slowly put her aside, he cleaned his lips and got straight up.

"Dr. Y/L/N, I thought you were with Dr. Glassman" He could see how your eyes were getting red as if you wanted to cry, suddenly he felt guilty and horrible because he knew how did he hurt you.
"No, I ... I came to tell you that I feel so much better and to thank you for saving my life; I'll get to work... Excuse me" You ran away to the lockers, and stayed there. You wanted to scream, cry shout, hit something and you couldn't admit to yourself that it was because you started to have feelings for Melendez.

While you were sobbing at the lockers you heard some footsteps.
"Y/N, are you here ?" It was Shaun, whenever you felt bad he knows where to find you no matter what.
"Yeah, I'm here" You tried to make your voice as normal as possible, he saw you crying on the corner, he sat next to you while hugging you, you were the only person Shaun wanted to hug and every time he hugs you you felt lucky, you hugged back and cried even harder Shaun just stayed quiet while softly stroking your head.
"Thank you Shaun" You stopped hugging him to sit well.
"You're welcome" He softly smiled without looking at you. Both stayed silent until he talked.
"What happened ?" He asked
"What happened is that I'm a pathetic hopeless romantic " You were frustrated.
"Why?" He asked you while resting his head on your shoulder.
