24 days until christmas

December the thirteenth.

It's past midnight and he and her dad want to leave. They had a great time and she is really happy. Her mom was home, too. That's the best present she could make her.
She walks up the steps, trying not to fall asleep on her way up.
His present for her is laying on her bed. It's a gray hat and the end is rolled up one time. It says YOU.
She puts it on and smiles in the mirror. Then she sees a white small paper sticking out. She takes it off and folds it apart.

Happy birthday sweetie :)
I'm glad I have a friend like you.
I've got another present for you.
You know Mr Lott is my uncle and he told me I can borrow his key for the big hall in school. Come there tomorrow at 5 pm.

She opens the heavy door and walks in the huge hall. Her steps make a loud echo on the hard floor.
He is sitting on stage looking at her.
She sits down in the front row and looks at him. She can see the blue of his eyes even from that distance.
He stands up. How can he look so good?
He has something in his hand.
