I hate getting flashbacks from things I don't want to remember - Unknown
"Adeline!" I got shook out of my writing and groaned.
"What?" I snapped. Danny laughed and threw the newspaper at me.
"Check it." I have to admit being in charge of the whole school paper sucks. I don't know why I took the job in the first place.
"It looks great." I said emphasizing the sarcasm, I threw it back to him and he caught it, surprisingly.
"You know if you're ever feeling lonely." Danny sat on my desk and I looked up at him. He's not a bad looking guy, brown eyes brown hair, his nose isn't too big for his face, his lips aren't too small. But it's just something about him, or right; he's a boy.
"You have three seconds to get off my desk before I stab you with my pen. 1 2-" I lifted my pen and Danny jumped off.
"Come on Adde go out with me." Danny practically begged.
"I've got better things going on, Hun." I laughed gathering my items. I walked out of the room over taken by the hoard of people in the hallway rushing out the doors to the buses or cars wanting to desperately get home.
"Adeline! You forgot your journal." I turned around and Danny caught up handing it to me.
"Thanks." I grabbed it and walked on ignoring his bitter remarks about how I'll end up lonely then dead.
I never wanted to come to school, I wanted to be a writer, but I have to graduate from high school to be one, I also need the extra curricular of writing journalism, so what better to be the president for my 4th year in a row. So here I am, walking down the hallway of this school and here I am less than 8 months away from graduating.
"Adeline!" I turned around and saw the wrestling coach.
Yay. I panicked and tried breathing in and out.
"Coach Warner, hello." I said weary, knowing he will bring up the match. He started blabbering on about the last match they had. I was right.
(Last week on Tuesday at 4:27 pm at Orion)
I know this because I was there, no I wasn't there checking out there abs; even though they do have nice abs, no I was there for the school paper taking pictures, doing my job.
We won, but only by half a point.
"You see Adeline I think it's because our boys are to busy goofing off, would you like to take the job to yell at them for fun?" Coach asked.
I didn't know what to say
After all I never do.
"I- I don't think I can." I said. Well Coach looked devastated.
"Why not?" Is all he asked.
"Because I have writing then school, then homework and babysitting, then I have to print all the papers." I blabbered on and on. I think coach got a bit bored because he stopped me.
"I'll pay you $10."
"I'm in." I know it was wrong but hey it's ten full dollars. We shook hands and it was a deal. He gave me the ten dollars and I was going to practice on Mondays Wednesday and Fridays. Today was Wednesday.
I have to brace myself.
I walked to my 5th hour and sat down bringing my notebook up to the table, the bell rang and rushed in Cooper Hails taking his seat in front of me.
"Mr. Hails, i only hope you realize the second bell is when class starts not when you show up." My teacher mocked.
"Well ma'am i got caught up in something." He smiled.
