"Hey, Iz." Apparently everyone wanted to call me that.
"Hey, Laura." I smiled as I walked next to her in the hallway on our way to History class.
"I heard a rumor that you and Morgan hung out last night." She smiled giddily at me.
"Not really, we just did homework, he lives next to me and he needed help, that's all."
"It's like fate!" She gasped.
Yeah, fate. Not like the Red Room did everything in their power to make me spend as much time as possible with him. See, sarcasm.
I rolled my eyes and walked into History. Morgan waved me over to sit next to him. Laura and I sat across from him and one of his monkey-like friends.
"Hey. We still on for after school today?" Morgan asked.
It took me a second to figure out what he was saying before I said, "Yep. We can use my gym."
"Perfect." He smirked.
Laura squealed and I kicked her under the table.
"What are you doing after school?" His monkey friend raised an eyebrow and made a weird suggestive noise, sort of like a laugh but not really.
"Iz likes to work out, so we are going to use her gym after school today." Morgan rolled his eyes.
"Oooh, I like that in a girl." He leaned on the table as I scrunched my nose.
"Leave her alone, Jerry. She's clearly not interested in you." Morgan crossed his arms.
"Not yet she's not." He winked at me and all of the sudden I felt like barfing.
"Are you done flirting with Miss Izabella, Jerry?" Miss Goodnew raised an eyebrow.
"Nope." He said as he stared at me. I felt like punching him in the nose.
"Well you better be, because I can't stop her if she tries to kill you." She joked.
"Fine." Jerry rolled his eyes and looked at his worksheet.
"Is everyone still good for tomorrow night?" Reagan asked at lunch. Everyone nodded. "Great, I wrote my address down for you, Iz." She handed me a slip of paper.
"Oh, thanks." I took it.
"What are you eating?" Marie laughed.
I looked down at my Red Room slop. "It's a special thing my mom makes." It was actually what I was still required to eat. They said if I ate American food I would never be able to eat this food again.
"No offense to your mom or anything, but it looks like she put mud in a Tupperware container." She scrunched her nose.
"Yeah, it's not great tasting, but she, uh, made it herself and I have to eat it. Plus, it's really really good for helping you stay in shape." I have a half smile.
"So just throw it away and pretend you ate it." Acey suggested.
My eyes widened, "Lie? I can't lie!"
"Sure you can, it's easy." Celeste took a sip of her "hydro flask".
"Not for me, trust me I can't lie." If only they knew that everything they thought they knew about me was a lie.
"Well, I guess your eating mud slop for the rest of your life."
"It really does give you abs though." I stirred the muck around.
"It does? What about a butt?" Jenifer piped up.
"Not really, but it makes you really strong, a, um, good bikini body." When I said that they all gasped.
