Smiles, laughs, chatter, and music was all over the place. The Corleone family was celebrating their daughter's wedding and like the proud Sicilians they were, it was fill with a lot of Italian traditions.

"Come on, Aurora!" Sonny yelled from the table to the brunette sitting with Carmela Corleone "Come dance with me, you look bored" he added laughing.

"Andare! Andare!" Carmela encouraged smiling.

Aurora was like a second daughter for both Carmela and Vito.

Being Genco's daughter involved being protected every single day by The Godfather himself, who even thought everyone called him that way showing respect, for her he was actually her godfather.

She dedicated a sweet smile to Sonny who treated her like his other little sister.

"Sonny... has my godfather said something about Papa?" she asked while dancing.

Her Dad was very ill, however, it was his wish to have her present at Connie's wedding, who also was his goddaughter.

"He has said that you can go with him later tonight, after they cut the cake" he added swinging her around "By the way, to change your mood, someone very special is coming" he had a smirk on his face and she rolled her eyes.

"Is he? last time you said that he went back to Dartmouth" she added "Besides, I'm sure he doesn't remember me... last time we saw each other was during godfather's birthday in 1941".

Sonny knew of the short romance she had with his young brother Michael a few months before he enlisted in the marines, however, they broke up a week before The Godfather's 50th birthday when he told the news to the family, and was also the last time they saw each other.

"Anyways... he's coming, and I'm sure he'd love to see you" he stated "I need to get back inside, keep Mama company will ya?"

"Sure" she shortly replied.

He kissed her cheek and left her there.

She was wearing a long baby blue silk dress which accentuated her waist, while she had a white fur coat hanging on her shoulders.

She went back to the table where Carmela was no longer seated, instead, she spotted her with a few people around while they singing.

She decided to eat the last bit of the cannoli placed on her plate, that reminded her of Michael, considering the fact that he loved them a lot and she learned with her mom to make them so she could do them to him.

While her mom passed away when she was only five years old, her dad has always been present in her life, so for the last four years she has been devoted to take care of him.

Deciding to walk around the place for a few minutes, she spotted Sonny very close with one of connie's bridesmaids. Classic, she thought.

She knew the whole place since she was young, sometimes she'd go fishing with Sonny and Tom, just so sonny would end up drunk and between Tom and Aurora, get him off the boat.

She had always been close to connie and she really wanted to be with her in that very important day, but as much as she was happy for her childhood best friend, she hated Carlo, so rather than celebrate their union in holy marriage, she prayed for her.

Suddenly, as she walked past the gates, it all felt surreal for her.

Michael was walking towards the entrance in his uniform. She had several copies of his LIFE interview back from 1944 where he was wearing it and he talked about the war.

She tried to do as she didn't see him but it was all in vain as he had already spotted her.

"...Aurora" he said almost in a whisper as he detailed her. It was a long time ago since he had seen her and saying that he was speechless was the least.
