HIM:

She occupied his mind for the rest of the day,

Consuming all his thoughts like a black hole.

She was always there.

She made him smile,

His eyes finally showed a glow

Of interest

In life.

He felt himself falling into

Intricate love with her

Faster than the speed of light.

He knew he was going too fast.

Knew that he'd eventually crash and

Burn.

He knew She would need to take her

Time.

But he didn't care.

He craved her eyes

Her shy timid stance

Stuck between sprinting away from everything and staying to see the

Outcome.

He ached to get the slightest glimpse

Of her lips.

The way they could transform

From thin, anxious, unreadable

To mischievous, bursting with life,

With witty thoughts just

Itching to escape the confines

Of those beautiful trap doors.

What are you thinking??? You learned her name just 10 minutes ago!!

It was too late;

He felt himself slipping slowly out of reach

From reality.

HER:

She stared at her paper,

Trying to decipher the blurred

And jumbled words that everyone else

Read perfectly.

It was him.

He occupied her mind,

Writhing and twirling into

Distorted poems

And beautiful words.

His stunning green eyes

Stood out in the darkness behind her lids.

A smile slowly spread across her face,

Causing a sharp intake of silent breath

All around her.

Her smile lit up the room;

And could cause anyone's spirits to be

Lifted immensely.

His opaque black hair

Contrasted with those green eyes;

The color of fresh spring grass

Freshly coated with dew drops.

God, those penetrating eyes.

She felt as if he truly saw within herself,

Gazed upon her darkest corners

That she tried to avoid,

And still accepted her with open arms.

She needed to gaze into those eyes,

To find and fix his broken pieces

That he must claim are intact.

She longed for those eyes to touch her;

His gaze sent a splintering shiver

Up and down her spine.

A red shadow rushed to her cheeks as she imagined his eyes

And all the unsaid words he bit back with

Reluctant force.

She knew it was probably stupid to think this when she just discovered his name

10 minutes ago.

Yet, as she painted words that flowed from

The depths of her swirling mind,

She knew he felt the same way.
