Chapter 8 : Fragments of the Past

Anika's Pov

Anika was in her room. She had changed into her pjs and was still wondering about what to do next. She was really not knowing how to deal with this bomb that had blasted on her head. She was shocked to even say anything. She remembers what happened at the party after it was revealed that she would be getting married to Ansh.

Flashback starts :

Anika had looked at her parents in shock. So was naira and others when this absurd announcement was made. Anika did not react. All the guests had left the party. Naira looked at her parents in shock.

Akshara : Anika beta don't worry I know you must be confused but just go and talk with Ansh I'm sure everything will be fine.

Anika doesn't respond. Naira who was standing next to Shivaay gets angry on her mom's words and then she goes towards Anika and drags her out of the party and they go home. As soon as they reach home Anika goes into her room and locks her room door while Naira looks on. Naira tries to get Anika open the door but Anika doesn't open the door and she feels that it would be better if Anika was alone for sometime.

Flashback ends :

Anika in her room decides to talk to her parents tomorrow. She has to decide about this. Anika opens her cupboard and opens her secret drawer and takes out an blue file. She opens the file and sees a picture of a man and a girl. She holds the picture to herself and begins crying and uttering that she misses them.

Next morning Anika gets ready and comes down. Naira was waiting for her and as soon as naira sees Anika she just hugs her and says she was worried. Anika breaks the hug and says she is okay and tells her now they should go and eat something otherwise mumma would scold them. They go for breakfast.

As soon as they arrive Akshara and Natik look at them wanting to ask about what happened at yesterday's party. But before they could do so Naira glares at them and somehow makes Anika to have breakfast. Anika haves her breakfast and leaves for her NGO. Then suddenly,

Akshara : Anika beta, I know you are upset with us but it is for our better future. We are not telling you to say yes immediately but before taking any decision we want you to meet Ansh. Ansh said he would want to meet you and talk to you.

Anika : Mumma you have decided that I have to meet him so okay I will meet him.

Saying this she leaves to her place of work.

Goenka and Oberoi Mansion :

Yuvi was living in Shivaay's house for a few days. It was breakfast time and all of them were present at the table except Yuvi. Dadi asks Shivaay about Yuvi. Shivaay says he is still sleeping. Dadi nods and then she continues her breakfast.

Shivaay goes in search of Yuvi in his room but he is not there. He sees a servant and asks him did he see Yuvi and the servant says that he is in the garden. Shivaay goes to the garden and sees Yuvi lost deep in thought.

Shivaay : Abe yaar where were you ? U know Dadi was asking about you.

Yuvi doesn't respond and is still lost in deep thought. Shivaay then nudges his shoulder.

Yuvi : Shivaay! Tu yaha?

Shivaay : Yaar I am talking from that time and you weren't responding at all. Btw what were you thinking?

Yuvi : Anika

Shivaay gets pissed on hearing her name. Yuvi then looks at his face and seeing his face pissed off but Yuvi continues.
