Fallout Equestria: Stuck in Time (revised)

Chapter 1: Away go the Sun and the Moon

Nightshade wakes up to the bright light of the large room He'd been frozen in. It seemed like a blink but according to the mare it'd been 200 years. Just to make sure nightshade checked the terminal. The terminal screen showed the amount of time he was stukc in stasis along with the status of his vitals. Nightshade walked back over to the pod and opened the access panel and just as the mare said there were the weapons and the armor. Nightshade slipped on the pip-buck and it started scanning him. After it set up nightshade slipped on the black combat armor and the custom combat helmet.

Nightshade switched between the modes and saw that the thermal caused the lenses to glow red while the night vision turned the visor green. When both modes were off the lenses turned a smoked black. The guns all had specific holsters on the set of combat armor, most likely custom made to fit the needs of the wearer. The pistol slipped right under his saddle bags showing only the handle of the gun, the assault rifle was attached to his right side with the gun pointing backwards and slightly downwards, and at last the .308 sniper rifle had a strap which nightshade put over his neck and put it over his back. After nightshade geared up he checked his saddle bags finding tape recorder, 100 .308 rounds, 100 .45 rounds, and 200 5.56 rounds, as well as the bullets he found some bandages, a needle and thread, some healing potions, and a fixed blade knife.

As soon as he finished he observed his surroundings, he saw that most of the lights on the chamber status board were flashing red, about 45 of them. The other 4 chambers were still green and nightshade guessed that those ponies just didn't get out yet. But as he was thinking that one of the containers exploded causing another one of the lights to start blinking red. Nightshade decided that it was a good time to leave before he got blown to pieces by any of the rest of the pods.

The walls of this giant complex were rusted and the corridors deserted, papers littered the floor and crinkled under nightshade's hooves. There were faded Signs pointing the directions of different places, most of them maintenance related. Nightshade followed the only one logical as it stated plain and simple 'vault door'. When nightshade arrived at this so called 'vault door' was what looked like a giant gear. Next to the door was a control panel which consisted of a couple of buttons and a lever. Nightshade walked up to the panel and pulled the switch, a large metal contraption, which seemed to resemble a key, came down and pressed itself into the middle of the large gear of a door. A loud groan came from the machine as rust and dust fell from the vault door and the machine. The door pulled back and rolled over to the side.

Outside the door nightshade could see a cave with a door at the end. Nightshade walked down the tunnel stepping over signs and the charred skeletons of dead ponies, and wondered what he'd find on the other side of the door. Nightshade walked up to the door and forced it open. The door fell off of its hinges and nightshade emerged out into the large expanse of........ Equestria? What nightshade saw outside of the cave was nothing of what he'd hoped. It was a vast wasteland burned and gray. The sky was blackened by the endless expanse of cloud cover, so dark that you could barely see the light of the moon let alone the sun. Nightshade heard a beeping noise in his right ear and heard a robotic mares voice say "Up-link complete, briefing commencing." And at that nightshade started hearing news clips of what happened to equestria. Something about megaspells and large zebra attacks, as well as the reason the sky was a constant cloud cover, the pegasi sealed them up to protect themselves. The news clips ended abruptly. Nightshade begins to walk away from the broken door and towards the first thing he saw, which was a half collapsed house near piles of other rubble which nightshade had guessed was the remnants of a small town or village.

When nightshade was about 100 feet away from the half collapsed house a black stallion with a blue mane jumped out from the house and began to open fire on nightshade. Nightshade dove for the nearest rock and decided now would most likely be one of the best times to learn how this whole S.A.T.S. thing worked. Nightshade activated S.A.T.S. and it seemed to freeze everything around him as well as himself, nightshade pulled out his assault rifle, set it to three round burst, and locked on to the black stallion. S.A.T.S. focused on each limb of the stallions body, nightshade lines up two shots both for the front two legs of the stallion. Both shots tore right into the black stallions flesh and put him to the ground completely immobilizing him and making sure be couldn't fight back. Nightshade walks up to the to the red stallion with the automatic rifle and kicks him over to his side. The black stallion yelled at nightshade "What the hell are you?" Nightshade looked at the stallion confused and started speaking "sir I am a stallion just as you are. Except I'm different than you. I'm......... Stuck in this place, I'm not meant to be here I should be dead." The black stallion lays there in pain looking confused and angry at nightshade. The stallion began speaking.
