That's enough for me to not stay anymore. Why the heck would they lie to me? Not like I was being nosy or clingy to them and if I made them feel uncomfortable then they could have just told me or at least showed some signs.

Was I crossing my limits when asking Yeonjun who was the girl? Perhaps, I shouldn't have put my guard down. Perhaps, I shouldn't have considered them as my friends. Perhaps, I shouldn't have felt safe whenever I was with them and damn it, I shouldn't give a darn about them.

It's actually alright. No matter whatever we had, we never were too close for me to be mad now. It's their life, it's his life so I don't have any rights to feel upset yet it kind of stings.

It shouldn't. It's really foolish of me to feel something despite knowing a comfortable and secured life isn't meant for me.

No, I'm not letting myself be distraught about anyone, not even me and I'm definitely not letting my stupid heart be honest with my brain.

It really is alright. Gives me a reason to not listen to them anymore and live my own life according to me, not like a fucking puppet of my step dad or anyone. It's their life, I have no rights to question them and it's my life which I don't owe to anyone.

So, I just watched him smiling to her before turning my back and simply leaving. Did he think I'd cry for him if he said the truth? How thoughtful!

And now, I am wandering around the streets, hopeless and homeless. I didn't even confront him and the reason is quite simple, that is we don't mean anything to each other, just two strangers tangled in an accidental mess. Now, all I want is to get rid of this mess.

I stop trotting aimlessly, my hands go through my hair in annoyance as I cry out, "Oh god, why? If you wanted orphans to exist in this lonely world that badly, you should have gifted them a house and a job!"

People passing by give me weird looks but I just shrug off, wait– maybe I know a place to stay for a while and that's exactly where my feet drag me to as I find myself facing the entrance gate.

Oh residence.

I take a deep breath, ringing the bell and wait for a little until the door opens, revealing none but Sehun with a gaming console on his hand. His eyes widen, surprised since he thought I wouldn't be coming any time soon, "Wow! You are here?!"

"Yeah."
And I'm not just here, I'll be living here for the time being as my step dad is definitely going to block my bank account until I plan something clever haha.

A fluffy cloud runs to me, wagging his tail enthusiastically, and takes no time in  jumping on my lap, I quickly bend and carry him  happily.
