               Chapter 10- Tornado

-HAYDEN-

"Hey, sis, wait!" I ran towards Amelia. "Is something bothering you? You were acting a little different earlier." I asked while catching breath, I got tired chasing her.

"How dare you call me 'sis'!?" maarte niyang pagde-demand.

"Because you're my 'sister'?" pamimilosopo ko.

"We're step-siblings, remember?" she cleared and gave me an eye roll.

"No need to tell me that. I'm already aware ever since, like, 8 years ago." I just laughed.

Amelia and I doesn't have the same parents. 10 years ago, when we were both at the age of 7, my mother, the Former Queen of the Left Kingdom, Queen Amaryllis died due to The War against The Rouges. Amelia's father also died due to the same war. After 2 years of my mother's death, my father, The Current King of the Left Kingdom, King Finley and Amelia's mother fell in love and got married. Since then, Amelia and her mom lived in the Left Castle together with me and my dad, my stepmother (Amelia's mom, of course) became the Current Queen of the Left Kingdom (of course, he and dad are married), Queen Elynne.

"But I treat you like a REAL sibling." I told her, emphasising the word 'real'.

"I know. You know how I show my care. Whatever." she said and walked away. Naiinis na 'to sakin HAHAHA!

-AMELIA-

"Hey, SIS, where are you going again?" Hayden asked while laughing. He really emphasised the word 'sis'.

I treat this boy beside me like a real sibling, I just don't say it because saying such dramatic words aren't my thing. But he knows how I show love and care.

The girl that this boy loves is so lucky to have someone like him.

But she's dead.

I miss her... my bestfriend.

"Huy." pangungulit niya. He acts like a little brother just because I was born 5 months earlier than him. "Tell me when you have a problem, okay? But if you don't want to talk about it yet, I won't force you." I just nodded.

I walked away earlier from the café not because I'm outraged of Portia and Nathalie, but because of what I had told Portia;

"You don't have to be affected if you know that something someone has said isn't true."

How was I able to tell a person and advice that I don't even know how to do it myself?

•••FLASHBACK 10 YEARS AGO•••

"Is that Amelia-the-bad-luck-kid?" a boy asked other kids, trying to insinuate when he saw me passing through their way.

I'm just looking at the floor while walking, trying to not give them attention. My parents told me that I shouldn't be affected by gossips or rumors because I know it myself that what some people say doesn't express a fact.

I shouldn't be affected. I shouldn't.

I shouldn--

I stopped my conversation with myself in mind when someone threw a tomato on me.

"Maybe your father died because he wanted to escape having the bad luck that you always bring." the girl who threw a tomato on me said and threw another tomato on me.
