It's been over a month that my students have stayed at home because of COVID-19.

Yesterday I entered my classroom, and the chairs turned and looked at me surprisingly.

Why are you here? The smart board asked with this angry look on his face. I had switched him off for a long time, and he was enjoying the silence in the classroom.

Where is everyone? I asked. "Inside the cupboard" Activity Books answered. "You shouldn't be here now" Learners Books added.

But this is the third period! It's English, I replied. English! The whiteboard exclaimed, and the Erasers burst out laughing.

Go away, go away, Ms Rhodesse, the speakers yelled. You can't be here without them, she added. Tears dropped from my eyeballs as I ran outside.

Everywhere was deaths silent, so I leaned on the fence of the football ground and thought about everything that happened.

Finally, the football ground said, "They used to love playing here, I miss them and I want them back". I do too, I replied, heading home to pray for their return.

" You can't be here without them," sadly.

A classroom cannot be whole without students.

Go away, COVID-19.😭😭😭😭
