where is your heart at?

She woke from her slumber with a banging headache. She was confused as to where she was at. Any memory from the night before had totally left her head. Before doing anything else, she quick ran to the bathroom to puke.

Before she knew it he was there, holding her hair back.

"I kind of knew it'd be you" she said while getting up and wiping her mouth. "I guess I had a crazy night?"

"Yeah you did. I didn't know what else to do so I bought you here" He said with them now face to face. "I hope you don't mind since you know," he said referring to the current state of their relationship.

"No it's fine I know you were just trying to help, I should definitely get going though" she turned on her phone and showed him the missed calls she was getting from her newlywed. They both giggled at the sight.

"Maybe we can talk though?" He slipped in while they were walking back to the guest bedroom.

"Aubs.." she sighed "How about we just leave it as is right now and we'll talk at a later date maybe?"

"Yeah yeah that's fine I know you have to go anyway" he said but there was definitely a bitter tone in his words

He walked back to his room and laid in his bed staring at the ceiling thinking about when everything went wrong....

Suddenly their was a knock at his door.

She came over and sat on the bed with him.

"We can talk" she said lifting him up and making him face her.

"Don't you have to go?"

"It's fine I told him at was at a friends house, plus I think our friendship is way too important to ignore whats going on"

"You're right it is, you mean a lot to me and without you in my life I'd definitely be a different person" he said very truthfully.

"And vice versa. I don't want you to ever think that you don't mean a lot to me Aubrey. Minus my stupid actions sometimes, youre always in the back of my mind I promise"

With that they both hugged and mutually decided not to get too deep into their problems.

"I really didn't get an invite to the wedding though?" He jokingly asked

"If you would've went you definitely would've been the one to stand up and reject the marriage" They laughed knowing that it was true.

They were both laying on their backs now and it was silent before drake broke it.

"Why didn't we work out" he asked

It was silent for a couple of minutes before she answered.

"I don't know, we're two busy people who don't wait for anything, even each other"

"So do you think if we weren't famous and we knew each other, we'd be together?"

"I truly don't know"

They were both sitting up now and facing each other.

"I know for a fact that I'll come back for you sooner or later, fuck and it sounds so bad that I'm saying this as a married woman but it's literally in our destiny" she said while holding his face.

"Then why are you married if you know that we're meant to be?"

"Soon, but not now," at this point she was mid tears.

Without any reason to do so, she instantly kissed him. It was deep and with meaning though. It was like the seal on a promise.

"I have to go" she abruptly. And soon after she was gone.

He pissed because he knew that she would get up and leave instead of dealing with how she felt. Half of him understood but the other half could not wrap his head around way she acted so scared to let her self love him. He could easily tell that she wanted to let her guard down but her pride would never let her.

Was it because she was scared that he'd hurt her? Scared that he would not be loyal? Scared that he was only talk?

He just wanted an answer to her antics.
