Army Of Angels (A Glanny Fan Fiction)

Chapter One

Army Of Angels:

This world is a war zone and I can't do anything to stop it. I want to but I know I can't. The sky is alight with shells and bullets. It's all you can do to dodge them and not let them graze your skin. Even a graze will kill you.

This war started in 1914 where I was with my family and tucked up in bed. When Austria-Hungary declared war on Serbia after their royals were shot. Great Britain and France were roped in due to our treaties and it turned into a full blown war. I'd never have thought it. Such a small conflict between two countries can develop like this.

Germany attacked Belgium first and then France. In the east Russia attacked both Germany and Austria-Hungary. In the south Austria-Hungary attacked Serbia. Then came the Battle of The Marne on September the fifth 1914. The western front became entrenched in central France and it has remained that way since. It's 1916 now and this year has been dominated by trench warfare.

I have to find him. I have to. I cannot live without him. He wouldn't be able to survive in that place. God I bet no one can. They've probably shot him by now. Oh God. No Glen keep a grip. You can't go out into No Man's Land a shivering wreck. It's a suicide mission. I'm well aware of that but I'd much rather die trying than let him die without trying. If we both die ... Well then we'd be reunited in whatever land that's after this one.

Mark told me not to bother but he doesn't know him like I do. No one knows him like I do. I told him that he is our General and therefore we need to give the best we could god damn give.

Nothing prepared me for the sights I would see in the First World War. Nothing can prepare you for that. Nothing can also prepare you for your first love either. God I'd do anything to see him now. Please let me see him again. Alive and well. Please let me see General O'Donoghue again, or as I have come to know him ... Danny.

A/N shortest chapter I have ever written but see it as a prologue. Surprise. A new fan fic. What's more it's a GLANNY fan fiction, I know how you guys love a bit of Glanny. I wanted to be different and set this in a setting that no one else has ever done before. So a fan fiction based in World War One it is then. Happy ... Or not so happy reading ... MWHAHAHA!
